The more I think about it, the more I believe my first thought might be wrong. Floyd has a beast-size ego, it's true. One thing that he prides himself on is technical knowledge. What better way to show the world he's all that than by taking apart in-ring tactics and adjustment, analyze them in real time, and communicate his thoughts to a large audience? Kinda like know-it-alls who always raise their hands in class, that's how I think it might transpire during a fight he's working.

Yeah, I think he might actually do well.

I initially thought RJJ would annoy the **** out of me and was pleasantly surprised. Even the part of me that can't stand FMJ acknowledges that the man works hard at what he does and is a perfectionist.

IF he was able to act like and adult he could pull it off and be very insightful.

I doubt he has the maturity, but would listen in if he ever got the chance.

i actually think he would be a brilliant commentator. he would constantly predict the out come of fights as they were happening and he would give insights into what the boxers should be doing and what they shouldn't be doing. rather than the current bunch who don't really know what it takes to win fights.

roy jones is always saying relevant things that seem to ring true when the fight is over. because he's champion and knows what it takes to get the job done. his experience is so rare..... mayweather is of the same ilk. an extremely successfull, technical fighter who faced all the styles and has found ways to win against them.

that kind of knowledge is very rare. plus he isnt that arrogant when he's being himself. he can be pretty normal!

Floyd is the best boxer in the world, and funny as hell when he gets going. He'd be a great commentator for as long as it lasted, before he called Merchant or Lampley a ***** motherucker. Actually, the two guys I thought were quite good, and who quit commentating were Shannon Briggs and Joe Mesi. Not sure why.

He even admitted he roots for all black fighters.. I believe he said "I root for the brotha man not the other man" That disqualifies him right there.. You cant be biased and be an announcer!

He doesn't do it when he is on the job(in the ring). He is pretty much professional in the ring. Since analyzing fights would his job, I don't think he would talk about how much money he has.

I think Marquez would be a great commentator. I already think Hopkins is a great commentator. Andre Ward is pretty good as well. Amir is alright.
