Pacman has the better resume at getting sparked out with one punch.

got more over the hill names thats for sure.

I do not see how anyone would think that beating a shot morales and over the hill barrera is better than Floyd's victories over in prime Corrales and Castillo.

Morales wasn't shot in the first and second fights for sure, he was shot by the third fight because of the accumulation of the Barrera and subsequent Pacquiao trilogies.

Barrera wasn't out of prime, he only had one tough fight in Morales after looking great against Naseem Hamed.

Castillo and Corrales are just not as good as Morales and Barrera. Floyd also struggled greatly in the first fight even if he had a shoulder injury.

    He's got a hell of a resume.

He can improve or lower his legacy as well (although he is at the age where most fans or posters wouldn't recognize a defeat against him hurting him; but I would).

He is the best fighter of the span of his career, the best in his era, so I find it natural that he would view himself that way.

To put it in perspective, Calzaghe likely views himself as one of the 25 best fighters ever. And Floyd is miles ahead of Calzaghe, so I really don't know what the shock is to hear someone view themselves highly.

He does have a boat load of HOF'ers and lineal champions on his resume.

Holy ****!! I was reading this entire thread and didnt want to get involved cause I was enjoying the back and forth. But this post above lured me in. Its by faaaaarrrrr the worst that has been written on here.

He has Floyd beating Jake, Robinson and Leoanrd!! Not a draw or maybe a split here and there but actual loses. Some even being easy:patsch

I cant take this. Its just too full of Floyd ****.

It was a decent win for Floyd, but Oscar was obviously past his best. The Mayorga fight was a full YEAR before he fought Floyd.

The fight with Floyd was only his 2nd fight in nearly 3 years. He wasn't an active fighter at that point, and was coming to the end of his career. He only had 2 more fights before he retired.

After the fight, he begged Floyd for a rematch. But Floyd "MONEY" Mayweather who's in the "CHEQUE CASHING BUSINESS" wasn't interested in cashing the cheque. Oscar said he knew he could beat him, and Floyd decided to go on vacation.

    Ha!

As if Floyd would ever have even considered fighting Robinson or Leonard had they been in the same era.

Floyd Snr fought Ray in Ray's 14th fight as a Pro, in only his 2nd year.

If Floyd had have been around when Hearns, Ray and Duran were at 147, he'd have never have fought in that weight class.

With regards to Ray Robinson and La Motta, they fought each other 6 times, in an era were fighters fought once a MONTH.

Jake La Motta came out on top in just one of the fights, and it was avenged by Ray just 3 WEEKS later.

If a fighter doesn't say he is the best or doesn't want to be regarded as Hall of Fame or ATG then it doesn't matter whom he fights. He is a fighter and should be respected. But Floyd said he is the best ever. The best ever? What is that? The best ever beats the best ever. He has not done that and he has avoided Pacman for years. His ignoring Manny will always stand as a guy who didn't want to be tested by one of the greatest ever. one of the greatest ever? Not with his resume. I think he is one of the most talented guys who ever fought. That is for sure.
