Are you playing dumb or you are dumb?

Floyd's prime weight is 130-140, Hearns is 147-160. Floyd's peak is 154 while Hearns is 175. Do the math and tell me that the advantages doesn't go to hearns?

Is hearns a more skilled fighter than Floyd? Hell no but you idiots have to reach fighters 25lbs north of Floyd's peak weight to find someone to **** on Floyd? You don't think that tells you something?

Why not make the match at Floyd's prime weight of 130 and Hearns will be Koed in one. Lets make that Fantasy match.

****, Duran beats him at 135, Chavez is a problem for Floyd at 130... Pryor beats him at 140,Hearns, SRL and SRR beat him at welter... Should we go on ??? As for tomato cans, these fighters mentioned here made it their business to fight THE best at their best and best weight as well. Now lets talk about Floyd ....

    tliang1000,

What, and that's the same thing? Ha! Floyd fought lots of amateur matches? So what? How many rounds, against who? It's hardly the same as fighting 200 pro fights and fighting every 1-2 months is it?

Ray lost to La Motta, then re-matched him just 3 weeks later. That's insane!

Your bringing up Ray's losses, and are trying to hold it against him.

There's no way Floyd would go undefeated in 200 fights, no matter who he fought. Sooner or later he would have come a cropper against a guy who he could probably easilyy beat on his best day.

I'm not trying to justify anything. I know all about the same day weigh-ins and Floyd's peak weight etc. But we can do a comparison against Duran, Leonard Hearns at 135-147. Floyd weighed in at 152, 6 years ago against Oscar at 30 years old. So we can do a comparison.

If Floyd had have been fighting in the 70-80's he could have fought at 135, 140 and 147.

At the end of the day, Tommy used to weigh in at 147, so we can do a comparison.

    Duran was only small.

Congratulations you named some fighters you think could beat Floyd, H2H. H2H means nothing in reality, its just a fun game for boxing fans to play. Chavez is no problem for Floyd at 130, by the way.

The thing is, Robinson and Leonard would beat Hearns at 147 too, and that's Hearns natural weight class. Dick Tiger beats Hearns at 160, so does Monzon, Robinson, Hagler nearly killed him, etc.

Just ask Donaire if you think Amatuer bouts holds any merit. The guys who compete in the olympics are far superior then some guy who is off the street trying to make a dollar.

Fighters used to play with fire with the same day weigh in and only and drains on the day of the fight which can backfire on them.

Hearns vs Floyd at 147 i'll take hearns. Hearns is powerful at the weight while Floyd's speed and power is not at his best.

You put hearns vs Floyd at 130 and Hearn will get koed within 2 rounds.
You got people on here every week pitting Floyd at WW scenerios against past fighters whose best weight is WW. It doesn't work like that.

    What are you talking about?

I know that amateur fights hold merit, but comparing Floyd's amateur fights when he was a kid, over a few rounds, is hardly the same as fighting 200 pro fights against other men.

I don't care if Floyd had 500 amateur bouts.

Ray Robinson had a 25 year boxing career, fought 200 pro bouts, and at one point he was fighting every 1-2 months.

    There's a huge difference!

Floyd would not be able to go undefeated in 200 pro fights, if he fought til he was 44. Also, there were less weight classes back then.

After 147, you were fighting against Middleweights.

You simply cannot compare the era's.

    Floyd is a great fighter!

But you can't look at it from the perspective that Floyd's never lost in 43 fights, and Ray lost 19 fights.

People are doing comparisons with Hearns and Leonard, because they fought at 147. It doesn't matter at what weight they ended up at.

Why can't we do a hypothetical match up with Duran at 135, or Hearns and Leonard at 147?

What are you talking about, saying that Hearns at 130 gets knocked out in 2?

  14. Shut your ***** mouth up tliang1000,

Why you talking as if Floyd's skills are that much higher than Hearns.
Even if Floyd was a 6 feet 154 version of himself.. there is no way in hell he can 'KO' Hearns in 1.

Hearns out boxed SRL and we all know it. Wake the hell up.

Also saying 'p4p' means jack ****ing ****. Floyd fought at 147-. so he can be matched up at 147-. how is that hard to understand?

It's not like he fought at 147 'once'.. he have fought at 147 enough times so people have a pretty good idea of Floyd's abilities at 147.. which is above good but slightly below very good.
