Like a poster said Uncle Roger would smack some of these posters for picking apart the past greats :nono

  2. He messed up dodging PAC, that was the real test to see how great he was, and he just waited until PAC's skills diminished and lost to other fighters. He has been hand picking his opponents for awhile now looking for guys without speed (cotto, guerrero) and you people still reach in your pocket for his fights, they are not all pay per view worthy.

the best boxers ever haven't ducked the other top fighters in the sport at the time they were considered a top fighter...

whoever posted floyd isn't a top 20 fighter i can agree with that but i can find him somewhat close to the top 20 list and if he would have taken fights that people wanted to see then he could be in the top 20 list already right now...floyd picks who he wants to fight and not always what the boxing universe wants to see

if floyd wasnt a ***** he would have fought pacman a few years ago, wouldnt have made oscar come out of retirement and would have fought him much earlier, and most important floyd would already have a fight setup against canelo but unless there are delusional floyd dick riders on this forum then people know floyd wants nothing to do with canelo

  4. Floyd will go down in history as a footnote.
30 years from now the casual boxing fan will still know the name of Detontay Wilder but they will forget about Floyd.
Let me ask you guys this:

Who do the casual boxing fan know more? Mike Tyson or Pernell Whitakeer? Exactly.

The truth of the matter is Detontay Wilder will be remembered throughout history but Floyd will be only known to the hard core fans.

What the hell does any of what you wrote, have to do with what I said?

If Floyd had 1000 amateur fights, it still wouldn't compare to having 200 pro fights, and fighting every other month.

Great post ! And maybe he went quiet because you used something simple as reason and logic:) Imagine comparing amateur fights with pro fights and the oppoenets that Robinson fought ? This guys a joke !

Look Floyd can pick his opponents, carefully like he does...However,he can`t have it both ways. When the true boxing fans want to see him in the big fights, against the best of the best, and it doesn`t happen... You are not gong to get the respect that he clamors for. SRL,Hagler, Hearns and especially SRR wanted to be THE best so they fought the best. They were true warriors. Now, that warrior mentality sometimes leads to poor choices and even losses. But, thats why they get the ultimate respect from the hard-core boxing fans. They wanted the bragging rights(rightfully earned) that came with taking on THE top contenders...Floyd,doesn`t and his true legacy will suffer...

FMJ will not be a footnote...I can't stand him personality wise.

That doesn't diminish his accomplishments and obvious skillset.

When people compare you to Whitaker, Leonard, Robinson, Duran, Ali, Chavez, Armstrong, etc. you are a great fighter period.

History doesn't forget the greats. Only fly by night fans forget, because there were never true fans to begin with.

Should Void have been DQed for hitting the woman he beat up behind the head?

    Unbelievable really.

  12. Floyd is not the best fighter... his fans are crazy just like klitschko fans who say Wlad and Vitali are the best heavyweights.... wladimir lost to sanders who lost to nate tubbs .. sanders wanted the rematch so bad but wlad said he was not ready for sanders.. wlad was never ready for sanders... wlad fights a lot of cancer victims... like pineta who suffered the sickness.. i hope pinata does well..... is it legal in germany to fight cancer patients? Or they make the exception for klitschkos?? Who will wlad fight next? Stephen Hawkins? I wonder if he will allow hawkins to bring his wheelchair................

The same country that voted for Floyd as the second best fighter of this era when they voted Pacquiao as the best fighter of this era. Floyd can come argue that he's the best when he win a fighter of the decade, until then he's not even the greatest in a single decade .
