The term ATG is thrown around way too much! A fighter would be lucky to fight an ATG let alone beat one in his prime. That's how special an ATG is. Some guys think there's an ATG on every corner or several in every division.........WRONG!!!!! Floyd and Manny didn't fight prime ATG's because they were the ATG's and they did what ATG's were supposed to do...... look unbeatable at their peak.

Like I said to PImp Show me one person involved in that railroading that came out & said " Antonio Margarito loaded or ever tried to load his gloves" No one ever did no one could. Had they done so Tony would be a very very rich man today. All that ever happened was a corrupt State Commission banned Tony for 2 1/2 years because they "SUSPECTED" he may have loaded his gloves.. 1. Lol can you be objective. He wasn’t cleared, he was applied at TUE 21 days after the fight. And IV of that magnitude and not declared can only be for one thing, you can’t even clear someone for that because the purpose is to cover up. More like he wasn’t caught but the guy left overwhelming evidence.

Had that been Pac would you be saying he was cleared? Cleared of what exactly? Lo. You want to talk facts, facts are he used illegal IVs and only applied TUE 21 days after they fight. That’s insane.

2nd - again being objective, floyd was all too happy that the first round of negotiations fell. Why was floyd so silent after being called out 2nd time with Pac agreeing to all demands?

3rd - then don’t come in over weight? He did it against JMM so it was a perfect demand by Pac. He didn’t have to pay a single penny if he didn’t come in overweight. Why would he, I thought he was a small WW.

4th - that’s just arum being stupid but that was never really a stumbling block. Cos that never even came into question. Negotiations never got there.

5th - negotiations was dragging and tbh I think arum didn’t want the fight either, he needed to at least give it a chance to happen but if he can milk Pac Inhouse first he would prefer that. But again, this was not the stumbling block, floyd put up the block.

6th - that just roach being roach. I know very well the reason me and my ex’s broke up was probably mine and her fault, but when people ask me, I say it was mine. I shoulda done this and that. Roach just saying they coulda done more. But no doubt floyd coulda made it happen in an instant, he was the one in control.

I don't think he has any on his record but really thinking about it 2 prime ATGs fighting is a very rare thing especially how picky ppl are nowadays..at the end of the day all you can do is fight the best of your era Mayweather did that and reign
supreme... really those the Mayweather haters should really be happy that alot of your favorite fighters waited him out even if stay still ended up losing.

As for the question ATG IMO is a subjective one. Depends on who is answering it and their criteria.

 

@dangerousity not to get into you guys back and forth because I was going to mention Pacquiao as being the closest opportunity but as much as ppl dont want to admit it Manny ducked outta least twice.

End of 2009 Mayweather agreed to 50/50 gave Manny top billing and all the perks of the champion asked for better drug testing which in what was the biggest fight ever why not.. Mannys team agreed then backed out when they were informed it would be random, mayweather relented to give a 2 week window Manny walked..

2010 after going through testing with Mosley said no more cut off then disappeared with Top Rank claiming they agreed only for it to come out that they agreed to the cut off that was originally offered in 2009 that was turned down and not full testing.
Move to 2011 Mayweather calls out Manny in lead up to Ortiz fight after Ortiz fight Mayweather relentlessly called out Manny who was scheduled to fight Marquez in the third fight after what should have been a loss to Marquez all we heard was Manny had a cut that wouldn't heal and that they needed time to build a stadium to host fight along with a host of other things while Floyd was negotiating with Manny he was trying to drain Cotto to 147 for a rematch which lead to Mayweather and Cotto fighting at 154 after May-Cotto Oacman got knocked out by Marquez in fight IV and that was all she wrote as far as a prime matchup.

You can get into the whole iv thing however you want, but there is no defense for denying drug testing if you clean.
