As far as Cotto warranting a rematch? Cotto fight with Rodriguez was a just an experiment with training wheels. Had the fight gone the distance, the Cotto Roach project would have been labeled a failure.
Even though Cotto won the fight, he still ran into shots that he should not have gotten hit with, and what he did to Rodriguez he would never be able to duplicate against Floyd.

Truth be told Cotto could never beat Floyd, which is why Arum never matched them at 140, when Floyd moved to the 140 class.

You have to look at Delvin boxing record to get the full picture on the people he lost too and where he stands in the division.

Canelo was the 154 Ring & WBC champion at 154 - Defeated Austin Trout to claim that spot which Trout was coming off a Victory off of Cotto. May not have a best resume but the guy is only 23 !

Robert Guerrero was the IBF champion at 126, 130 - Jump 2 weight classes and defeat 2 tops welter weights which are Aydin & Berto. He's an accomplish champion, a lot of experience in championship fights, and wins over notable opponents opponents.
