Wow Elegele just got shook

 

William Walton 4-1 (3) vs. Joe Elegele 8-0 (6)

Round 1

Atlas with his racist tirades right off the bat. "Not a lot of good fighters from Utah, not too many..." :-(

Elegele calmly circling, ramming the right hook home. Walton shifting his weight nervously from rear foot to front, popping jabs well short of target. Elegele starts timing Walton's rhythm and bopping him on the head with straight left hands. Walton takes another and is hurt. Walton begins to showboat a bit on the ropes after Elegele follows up. Walton winds up in the corner getting whacked like a mole. Elegele then gets buzzed walking right into a left. Oops. Walton throwing these badly telegraphed fishing-line left hands and getting close to Chinsville with them.

 

I moved on, to a better place.

 

My first time seeing Elegele. Noticed he's trained by Berto's trainer. It shows. Though he's a south paw, Elegele has a similar stance to Berto. He's also fast handed and likes to finish his shots with some good snap. In addition, he also lacks head movement as Berto does at times.

 

Thought you lost your marbles there for a second.

 

Round 2

Elegele bossing Walton around with his right jab. The left comes whizzing along behind it and catches Walton on his stylish beard. More straight combinations come from Elegele as Walton comes bombing at him with wide overhand lefts. Walton ducks from a jab and takes a left cross flush in the face but keeps his balance somehow. Elegele keeping Walton on the outside with long jabs and hooks. Walton on the ropes now, and shells up while Elegele hammers him. A lot of body shots landing for Elegele. Walton DOWN AT THE BELL from a left cross as we go to commercial. :roll:

 

Round 3

Elegele a bit more active on his feet now, hopping on his toes and tagging Walton with perfect left crosses and right hooks off the jab. Walton pushes out his own jab but is getting power countered with a vengeance. Walton's head snaps back as he is battered against the ropes. Two right hooks and a left uppercut land very hard, with nothing coming back from Walton.

BTW this fight is pretty solid, I'm enjoying Elegele out there.

Good stoppage, don't know why they're booing

Nvm, after watching the replay he looked like he could still go on

 

I kind of agree that that stoppage was really early. He didn't even look dazed. He was in a shell, not laying against the ropes with his hands down..
