Round 5 Jordan appears more tired, slower, and his long arms arcing a bit wider than in previous rounds. This is not much affecting his connect percentage, it's still pretty much zero. Porter still being cute, skipping on his toes and digging to the abdomen of Jordan whenever it's open. 49-46 Porter
Jordan coming forward to start round 5. Porter lands a sharp jab and the two get tangled up again. Porter lands a flashy combo on the inside and then gets out quickly. Porter reminds me of a poor mans Shane Mosley. I'm talking really poor. Like one room apartment with a sink that doesn't work poor. Porter gets way too Roy Jones Jr-esque with that leaping hook. It's not working so stop. Porter stuck on the ropes as Jordan pounds some body punches. Both guys get tied up and it's like Porter is beginning to tie up a bit more. Atlas echos my sentiment by saying that Porter is bouncing too much. Porter gets inside and lands some nice punches. Porter really needs to stick to inside fighting. His head movement is so superior it's not even funny. Porter has a cut now but it doesn't look too intense. Round 5 is over. Another Porter moment. 50-45 for Shawn Porter.
It looks like Jordan, a long lanky southpaw is kind of awkward for Porter, who is kind of has a Mosley stature. Seems like he is having a little trouble finding the right range.
That foot bouncing is got to be more tiresome. Frazier had although somewhat predictable at least a purposeful head-movement. And he always kept moving forward, using angles. Not quite the same but I guess I see your thought-process.
porter slowing down a bit... i think he's wasting a lot of energy. He needs to feint when he comes in... it's easy to time you when you're just bouncing in and out.
He's actually shorter AND heavier than Mosley. Going to have to get a lot better fighting taller guys if he wants to stay at Jnr. Middle
Porter looks to have Chin issues. And why is Teddy Atlas obsessed with talking about the 'taller' man? atsch
