I mean, at the end of the day that is a strong and muscular grown man his own size landing fast full-force punches flush on his brain-box. Bejarano definitely has above-average cheen by normal people standards. For a boxer, yeah - the fact that three people have knocked him out tells us it isn't iron and maybe Maduma isn't the lightweight Tyson. :yep

 

40-36 x 2 and 40-34 for Maduma.

I was gonna say, a couple of those were borderline 10-8 depending on your criteria..

 

Had he poured it on a little bit more there might be a case (and if he'd done so, might have actually scored knockdowns to make them unquestionably 10-8). As it is, he sheathed his weapons for long enough stretches in each round that 40-36 is correct.

 

It doesn't, but at a certain point a strong guy your own size hitting you cleanly multiple times and not hurting you can't just be chalked up to "oh well he must be featherfisted."

How many flush, crisp bombs can you take from someone your own weight with Maduma's physique before you show signs of being affected? Any of us who aren't trained boxers, for that matter (although Bejarano may as well not be a trained boxer for all the defense he employed)

That's probably where that one judge got the idea of scoring a round or two 10-8, probably in the rounds he was thinking "Gee, this ought to be stopped..." - not that I necessarily agree.
