FNF: Antonin Decarie vs. Shamone Alvarez & Jo Jo Dan vs. Steve Forbes RBR

Round 3

Decarie is winging windmill overhand rights up high and throwing a few straight ones down low, now acting as the aggressor. Alvarez is trying to fend him off with his weakening lefty 1-2 and only having occasional success. Hard hook to the face by Decarie. Alvarez is stepping outside and then trying to keep Decarie at the end of his jab, all while moving forward. It isn't quite working out for him as Decarie has step-inside combos and clinches waiting for him at every turn.

"Rossy needs the knockout, and he has not shown the punching power that is capable of such a surprising comeback."

 

There's a bluesy rock song playing over the PA and Decarie is rocking out on his stool, bobbing his head and jutting his chin out!!!

 

Yeah, it's weird. :blood Shamone seemed almost completely punched out after the first few minutes.

 

Round 4

Decarie is using his ugly but effective approach, winging power punches in bunches from different angles while sliding in and inviting Alvarez into clinches. Alvarez is ineffectively flashing his hands out in a facsimile of a 1-2 that couldn't stop a floating plastic bag. Decarie is diving into the clinches now and bashing Alvarez with borderline rabbit punches (but they're mostly on the temple) with his free right hand. Alvarez is rocked by a few waist-twisting action-figure combos by Decarie.

Round 5

Alvarez works his way forward behind his jab carefully, and Decarie bursts out of a corner with a double jab to the nose. Decarie is taking long, slow strides circling right and whipping Alvarez with his orthodox 1-2, getting to the target faster and with more power than Alvarez with his noodle-armed southpaw version. DOWN off a right hand through the gloves!!!!! Alvarez sat right on his butt under the bottom rope. Up. Decarie digs to the body. Alvarez flurries softly. Weak jabs from Alvarez. Decarie ducks and dodges a few jabs and then hurts Alvarez with bodyshots! Alvarez rocked by a clubbing right across the side of his neck. Decarie walks right into - and through - a lead left. Decarie has no respect for Alvarez's power. Left hook to the face by Decarie. Alvarez keeps jabbing his way forward and retracting his right arm low, leaving himself open but not getting exploited.
