Tessitore just loudly chided Brian Kenny for offering his opinion that Sierra should be disqualified.

Atlas instead took the more mature high road and chose to calmly reassert his belief that Sierra let it go in the heat of the moment unintentionally.

This makes no sense. Usually for an illegal blow, it's the "five minute recovery period" - then the 8th should start, right? That is, assuming George's corner wasn't stopping it (which would be a TKO or RTD win for Sierra).

I can see them saying it was illegal. But not a DQ. It was the 2nd punch of a combo. Yes, it was after the bell, but it was by a hair and there was no intent to foul. The guy deserves the win.

Again, why is this going to the cards??? Unless it's a cut there's not reason to go to a decision. George loses by either corner retirement or referee stoppage of fight.

If george wins then this will be one of the biggest ****ing disgraces in boxing i've seen in quite some time.

I've been watching boxing for a long time and can't figure how it goes to scorecards.

Disagreeing with his opinion is fine; the way Tessitore did it (screaming "Oh!!! BK!!!!" into his mic in a pissed off tone) was completely unprofessional, and the way Atlas did it (simply stating his case calmly) was pure class.

Right decision, but really weird. Atlas and Tessitore still didn't answer the question about the scoring. Poor job.

Donovan George took a beating there, Sierra deserved the win. Who was George supposed to take on originally?
