Well, you all are talking **** and that is probably the most competetive HW fight I've seen in a while Arreola will walk through Johnson. I think if Johnson was more aggressive he might have something but he isn't.
I thought Johnson looked good. Would love to see him fight Arreola or one of the Europeans like Dimentriko or Povetkin. I think Johnson could win a belt some day that is not too far fetched in this era.
He's a work in progress. The better his competition the more he unleashes the beast. Or, well, gives the leash a little slack anyway. :yep This fight alone showed a great incline in aggression from his previous showings. If he keeps moving in the same direction as he steps up his challenges, he'll be the most feared non-Ukrainian HW in no time.
He's horrible. I've seen him multiple times. He's journeymen/gatekeeper level at best. No pop, lazy, awkward, his mouth talks a lot of ****, but he doesn't back it up... etc... normal crap heavyweight.
..that said, the fact people are looking at someone like Johnson as being a force in the division is proof that the division is ****.
This is the first I have seen of him. I thought he looked good, Vargas didn't want to be there after the 3rd round and he let him hang around for a while. Hopefully your right, even if he wasn't aggressive it was nice to see a heavy with fast hands and some skill that isn't from Eastern Europe.
Johnson is a boxer, he doesn't try to brawl and won't pressure if he doesn't have to, whats wrong with that? Why is that so terrible? He has good defense and a good jab.
The Klitschkos yeah he probably doesn't stand a chance there but Haye looks like another brittish hype job to me who hasn't done anything at the HW division he probably has a chance there.
blah blah blah. what are you contributing by whining about him, exactly? yeah, everybody who's read a lot of your posts knows you favor certain styles and his isn't one of them. duly noted. what do you want, a cookie?
I've always said Johnson had more potential than Chambers, since well before the Povetkin fight when everybody told me I was crazy to even suggest it. :nod
Chambers has a lot of potential, I just think its not in HW but in Cruiserweight. Chambers is way too big, he needs to lose weight, but his talent and skills are excellent.
