Not sure if it's pride or they're getting hit so much they're not thinking straight enough to come up with that idea... After seeing so many fights get stopped due to accumulation when the other fighter probably could have continued if they took a knee I've wondered that many times as well..

I hate this host. Does he have to pronounce every Spanish name as if he's speaking in Spanish?

 

I also saw Burgos take the first two rounds. I saw him weaving, and ducking most of Vazquez's shots, or at least partially deflecting them. He reminded me of Marquez in the Diaz I fight. While he was going backwards, and laterally, he was landing the cleaner, crisper shots. I wouldn't call it a schooling, because Vazquez was working more, and definitely landed some good shots, but all along it was obvious (to me at least) that Burgos was setting him up, and carefully picking his spots. It was only a matter of time until he rung his bell, and flurried him out.

First time I can remember seeing Vazquez, but despite the way it ended, I liked what I saw of him.

 

Good fight while it lasted. Hope ESPN puts on more like it.
