FNF: Peter Manfredo vs. Daniel Edouard & Edward Rodriguez vs. Aaron Pryor Jr. RBR

Round 3

Edouard is landing some hard left hooks and right hands, marking up Manfredo's face. Manfredo is sticking with his slow and steady tight boxing style but getting hammered a bit. Edouard comes at him with alternating uppercuts. Most of the offense this round is from Edouard. Manfredo jabs his way forward and gets rocked by a right hand. Edouard lands another 1-2 as he turns. Manfredo walks into a left hook. They wrestle inside and Manfredo lands a nice right on the break. Edouard shoeshines down low. Manfredo lands another lead right. They trade into a clinch. Big right by Manfredo at the bell.

Round 4

They take turns launching right hands for a while and Manfredo starts to cover up as he comes forward looking to land combos. Edouard flurries down low and drives Manfredo into the ropes clubbing with both hands. Manfredo KNOCKS HIM DOWN with a single right hand as they split up from a clinch!!! Edouard somehow gets up. Manfredo jabs his way after him and throws another big right. Another. Edouard is leaning against the ropes and keeping his hands up.

I wrote "knock out" and hit submit thinking it was over...had to go back and edit when he got up.

 

Round 5

Edouard lays on the ropes as Manfredo swarms him. Several punches from Manfredo...coming straight, over the top, and from underneath. Edouard keeps his forearms up and looks to step inside and smother Manfredo. Edouard keeps tying up as they move across the ring. Manfredo pushes off and pokes at Edouard, using precision with both fists. Edouard hurt by a hook. Manfredo keeps coming forward as Edouard tries to slap and grab. Manfredo lands another good left hook while leaning back out of a clinch. Edouard digs to the body with his right. Manfredo hooks him back to the body.

10-9 Manfredo, up 49-45

Wow. Atlas had Edouard up 3 rounds to none before Manfredo scored that KD in the 4th.

 

Round 6

Edouard is cautious now, jabbing and moving backward. Manfredo comes forward and swings his body down low to leverage some hooks to the body. Edouard is turning Manfredo and landing jabs but eats another right hand that freezes him and lets Manfredo drive him to the ropes. Edouard escapes behind him and then grabs him behind the head as Manfredo resumes pressuring to pull him in and get a breather. Manfredo is mixing together left hooks, left uppercuts and straight right hands as he swivels on his waist into and out of the clinches initiated by Edouard. Manfredo is landing and Edoaurd is dropping his hands and showboating before trying to get back into the exchange.
