FNF: Rances Barthelemy vs. Arash Usmanee & Jonathan Gonzalez vs. Derek Ennis RBR

Nah, the illusion of him being a huge puncher is over. This is his fourth consecutive step up and the fourth consecutive time he's failed to really hurt the enemy.

 

Round 8

Gonzalez is throwing up-and-under cow-milking combos to the chest of Ennis coming forward, then stepping back outside and strolling around him to reset. Ennis waits in a defensive leaning crouch and then counters when Gonzalez comes in. Very low output for both. Very few clean shots. Gonzalez throwing more but missing at a whopping rate.

Dzinziruk looked like ass that night. Martinez might have ruined him.

Not to mention, some guys simply don't move up in weight effectively. (even one division) Not everyone is a climber.

 

Round 9

Gonzalez is pawing in super-slow motion with his jab, then falling gently in against Ennis and shoving outside to start all over again. Gonzalez is basically doing vertical push-ups with Ennis as the floor. Not great TV. Ennis jabs up at Gonzalez and presses when Gonzalez hops around him. Lead right to the body and a left hook winged up top by Ennis jumping inside. Combo by Gonzalez, from body up to head. Ennis turns his chin with the few shots that come near it, and then rallies back with a pair of slices to the chest and a whip-around right hand up top at the bell.

Round 10

Gonzalez is drumming light combos off Ennis' high guard. Ennis forms a helmet with his gloves, covering even the top of his head. Ennis backs up involuntarily as Gonzalez smashes a right into them. Ennis jabs Gonzalez in the chest from outside, holding him at bay. Squatting jab to the belly by Ennis while Gonzalez is flurrying overhead. Ennis is rolling his fists around by his belt, looking to catch Gonzalez with a jab if he comes near. Gonzalez instead circles wide to his left, turned askew. Lead slap-over rights by Ennis. Gonzalez steps in and flurries straight after Ennis carries his hands temptingly low at mid-range for a few moments, but Ennis gets the guard up and then bangs Gonzalez with a counter right downstairs. Flurry by Gonzalez, blocked. FLUSH right hand by Ennis.
