Round 1

Barthelemy is scraping the air with his jab as Usmanee comes in low. Left slap-hook by Usmanee as Barthelemy puts in a straight right. Usmanee's head is snapped back by a few jabs. Straight right by Barthelemy, flush. Usmanee tries to jab with Barthelemy from outside but is giving up lots of reach and suffering for it. Big combo by Barthelemy, tapping Usmanee on the forehead and then hooking the body. Usmanee shoves Barthelemy to the ropes and hatchets a right to the body. Barthelemy circles left and throws a long hook, catching Usmanee at full extension. Usmanee tries to duck in close. Barthelemy has landed 9 of 28 so far; Usmanee 1 of 13. Barthelemy lands a stiff jab and stuns Usmanee. Body shots by Barthelemy, pushing Usmanee back. Long jabs by Barthelemy, skewering Usmanee's face with it. Barthelemy is laughing at Usmanee and sticking his tongue out.

Based on that first round (and Atlas' mention of how they sparred together and Usmanee came out with all sorts of excuses about how it was only "fooling around", "technical sparring" etc) I'm thinking Barthelemy can do whatever the hell he wants with him.

 

...and Usmanee only has a 50% KO rate, so I'm not sure why he thinks he's going to be able to bowl over a slick product of the Cuban amateur system. :conf
