There is some good talent on display. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_at_the_2019_European_Games_–_Men%27s_%2B91_kg
I'll need the video for that. At super heavy, I have seen Victor Vykhyst. He's 6'6 and looks a bit like Wlad, but he's not that talented. More of a very good talent than a great talent. He might win gold. Marko Milun from Croatia has two golds and a bronze is his three tournaments. Could be a fast rising talent. The guy I wanted to see was Russia's world amateur jr champion, Alexey Dronov. I think he's still a teenager, too young for the world amateur's.
Hopefully he goes to America and focuses on his boxing. I don't want to see him become another John Joe Nevin
At super heavyweight, Croatian Marko Milun has won all three of his matches 5-0. Very impressive. Mulin's 1st win was over Russo, a 2 time Olympic silver medal winner at heavyweight. Russo beat Wilder 7-1 when they meet. Russo can box and move. A slapping spoiler type. A 5-0 win shows Milun can handle this style with ease. Mulin's second win was vs a guy I never heard of 5-0. Mulin's third win was vs. an opponent who won his first match 5-0 and his second match 4-1. Quick scouting report on Milun, he got strong legs, broad shoulders, moves very well, and whips his punches with power. Looks to be at least 6'4" tall. Not sure of his age, but looks under 23. IMO, he's going to be good. How good, cannot say until he meets the best. And the best is up next! Mulin meets Ukrainian Victor Vykhyst who won his two matches 5-0 in the semifinals of the tournament. A pity they can't meet in the finals! I want to see this match! The other semifinal match is France vs Germany, though both had close 3-2 calls in the quarterfinals.
Only been boxing for two years? If he wins his next match a new amateur star is born. Looks like he’ll be in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Don’t look now but the 91k fighter from Croatia is looking good too.
