I do agree that tonight(particularly early on) he lacked variety in his punches but this is not a normal problem with McCloskey and potentially was due to being in front of a big home crowd, with a big reward on the line against a non threat.

I'm not really sure what would happen between Khan and McCloskey.
Khan's speed(of both hand and foot) would cause Paul massive problems and if it goes to points I think there's only one winner. But Khan has never faced an opponent as unorthodox or as slippery as McCloskey and he could very well walk onto shots.

Unlike what's been previously stated Khan has fought southpaws before, but the best of those was Ryan Barrett !, with that said I'm sure training with Manny Pacquiao means he's well used to southpaws by now.

McCloskey does have good power when he really loads up on a shot, but he doesn't really do that too often and seems to concentrate more on accuracy and landing sneaky counters that massive shots. If he catches Khan right he'd definitely have him. Despite Khan not seeming to be loading up on shots much himself at the moment I wouldn't rule out his chances of hurting McCloskey as his speed could mean he catches McCloskey often with his chin hanging out.

On the otherhand Khan's new style means he's always moving and expending huge amounts of energy from his footwork. It's almost definitely why he looked so tired(and started getting caught more) v Kotelnik in the 11th and 12th. If Khan was having trouble with McCloskey's defence and missing him often aswell, not only may Paul have opportunities to counter but Khan may fade much quicker aswell, and we get what happened in the Kotelnik fight much earlier than the 11th onwards.

It's a very interesting fight and hard to pick at the moment as although both men have beaten decent fighters, neither has beaten anyone special. I'd probably edge with Khan right now, but I'd be by no means confident either way.
