This. In the Smith Jr. he was standing straight up with his hand down and got caught flush with a right hand. In the second fight with Stevenson he took a left hand to the temple. He needs serious work on his defense and needs to remember keep his hands up.

not "very good" ? He's not remotely close to very good, he's not even good. he's a weak lhw, that should only be fighting very young fighters that are only gaining experience or fighters coming back from major surgery to make sure they're fit.

Yeah this is nothing new really. His chin is suspect, but he has good recovery and survival instincts... Also tough as nails.

 

That's going a bit far... Fonfara has the balls to step in with big punchers on a regular basis, and has survived against some of them. His chin definitely isn't the best, but it certainly isn't Khan -esque

Nah its not glass, he remained upright with Stevenson dropping left after left off his polish dome. His defense is shoddy though, you'd think a professional fighter would know to move to his left and away from the only punch that can hurt him from a southpaw (the left hook). He learned nothing from the first fight apparently.

That was about the worst performance Fonfara could've put on... what was his team expecting? Stevenson told them what he was going to do... Especially with the height difference, I just don't understand how the Fonfara team couldn't diminish Stevenson's left hand bombs. Weak ass game plan, weak ass training. His chin will always be **** if he decides to not guard it at all.
