Szpilka is getting his chance much much earlier than I anticipated. I wonder how Ronnie wants Szpilka to play this one.

I was surprised that some of my Polish friends knew who Szpilka was...... None of them follow boxing but they seem to know all of the big Polish fighters.

Ronnie said in May (when this article was written) that in 6-12 months the "Pin" can fight anybody. Literally. Artur and Ronnie are perfect for each other. In life you can be anything you wish. Dream big. Artur has that drive. I don't think Artur cares what Serge or GGGunbeatable on this forum think about him. He has gotten this far in believing in himself. Just a few years back thinking that Artur would be stepping into the ring in Brooklyn to fight for a Heavyweight Crown was crazy. Ronnie has always been underrated as a trainer. Ronnie really is good. If at worst Artur gives us all a great show his future will look very bright. I am looking forward to this one.

I like both also. Deontay is great for American boxing he can crack. Szpilka has come from nowhere to the biggest stage quickly also. Would love for this to go into the later rounds. If that happens this might be quite a show.

American promoters fell in love with Szpila after the Mollo fights. He was a loose cannon before Ronnie Shields. Ronnie will put him on the right path. And like Szpilka said in an interview, Fonfara really spiked his career with a loss to Stevenson due to the excellent fight he brought to the champ. Szpilka recognizes that even though he may lose, he wants to showcase what he has to offer. He better walk the walk - lots of eyes on him January 16th.
