Andrzej Fonfara is a warrior. He beat the **** out of JCC Jr., he gaive Adonis Stevenson his toughest fight to date, and he is more than willing to travel to enemy territory to fight for a title against the real LHW champion.:bbb

I hope this fight happens even if it's in Russia. Kovalev should build his home base fans and Fonfara deserves his shot at the King like everyone else.
    Good **** here folks.:deal

We already knew he was. :good

I never doubted for a second that he would jump at the chance to get in with Kovalev if offered.

    :good

I have warmed to Fonfara, a lot.

I remember when he fought a shot Glen Johnson in an underwhelming performance I felt it had "exposed" him somewhat as just a protected hype-job, but his career trajectory since then (and his disposition in the ring, with 5 of his last 6 opponents being world class) has surprised me.

He's fearless but Kovalev would take his head clean off his shoulders.

I'd rather not. He's a good fighter, but he has zero chance against Kovalev. I'd rather he rematch Stevenson. He at least has a shot against Stevenson. Kovalev would obliterate him.

Fonfara isn't very good. people poked fun of stevenson when it was announced he was fighting him.

but it's fine for kovalev to fight him.

and people will deny this but ive seen so many thread of "who has stevenson faced? nobody!!"

With the failing economy, I doubt a Fonfara-Kovalev fight in Russia would be very profitable.
Even Povetkin's promoter will lose money by holding the Wilder-Povetkin fight in Russia.

Yes but that was before Chavez, Stevenson and Cleverly so it's two different situations no matter what. Saying that it doesn't make much diff to me, just a passable opponent not really something to be excited about IMO. I'd rather see the rematch given that he gave Stevenson some problems.
