    I just wanted to shed some light on whats going on here....a little food for thought!

    Do you realize that Cotto's last 10 opponents have a combined record of 296 wins with only 19 losses.

    W 296 - L 19

    Three of those 10 where undefeated

    Fighter of the year. Give him his props.

    If PBF beat Hatton convincingly it would be unfair to give Cotto the FOTY.

    Its a part of the reason why Cotto is THE fight for Mayweather Jr, if he beats Hatton. Cotto has shown more than even those numbers imply. I have the utmost confidence that Miguel will overcome Floyd.:good

    Cotto's been fighting top skilled guys and rose to the Championship light against SSM. He's proven his skills and SAID he's ready for any of the BIG NAMES.

    PBF's fight with Hatton is a disadvantage. Why do you think he is fighting him. Cotto also agreed to fight Margarito this year, a fighter that we all know PBF ran from. We seen it on video you PBF nuthuggers so dont even start. Margarito was the one who pulled out to fight Williams. I dont care how the fight ends with Hatton, his fights werent exciting enough to be FOTY.

    Sorry. Miranda isnt that good and we seen Taylor couldnt even beat a little Spinks. Not quite but a close third
    Cotto vs Judah was up for fight of the year
    Cotto vs Mosely was exciting as hell.

    first things first, did you refer to me as a PBF nuthugger?

    look, you don't have to be exciting in order to be a FOTY. Mickey Ward fought the Fight of the Year with Gatti, on the other hand, Kostya Tzsyu fought a clinic against Ben Tackie. Wrad-Gatti is leagues ahead in terms of excitement but which fight had more relevance? Of course it's KT-Tackie.


    Nobody is talking about Margarito here. It's about an argument that Cotto deserves fight of the year honors. Stop putting irrelevant subjects.

    Cotto has fought quality opposition and has faced all kinds of fighters. Sort of like he was bred to become a superstar and eventually face Floyd in a mega-matchup.

    Another thing...Cotto, through 31 fights, has already faced 9 world champions. He's been brought up very well by Top Rank and I think he may be the guy to beat Mayweather.

    Margarito is more relevant than you think. Cotto signed to fight him this YEAR and PBF ran from him for 2 YEARS. My point being that Cotto took the hardest fights this year while FLoyd looks for disadvantages. He wouldnt fight Mosely but will un retire for little Ricky. Yea Ok. Cotto topped him this year. Sorry

    well he just fought DLH at 154. And with a lot of fans shouting Hatton will beat PBF, it's just a fight everyone needed.


    Sure Cotto signed to fight Margo. But why not Paul Williams? the guy that beat Margo.


    Cotto will not take it. Sorry.

    We all know prime for prime Dela Hoya would have cracked PBF.
    Cotto signed to fight Margarito, then Margarito faught Williams which left him to fight someone else. Instead of taking a easy fight to end the year, he takes on Suger Shane. Obviously Williams wasnt available this year. PBF and Cotto have a smilar opponent in Judah where PBF went 12 and Cotto gave him a whippin and KO'd him. Give it up buddy. PS...Nobody in there right mind is picking Ricky to beat FLoyd, just the idiots that want to argue for no reason.

    Miranda isnt that good cause Pavlik made him look that bad, but in truth Miranda is a solid prime fighter and better than Judah. And as much as we all hate Taylor, Taylor beat the man and hence was the man himself. Zertuche was a very live and game opponent so them 3 fights means its in the bag for Pavlik.

    Miranda got beat up by Abraham and if not for the badly broken jaw he would have KO'd him. Zurtuche is cool but not great and I already explained that Taylor barely got passed a Cory Spinks and honestly Im scared to replay that fight and score round by round because I might just have to score it for SPinks but I hate him so much that I will let it be. Sorry but Pavlik aint it but close though.
    Oh and come on.......your telling me Miranda is a beter boxer than Judah? Think about that. Miranda's fighting Tomatoe cans and KOing them like he's supposed to. Do you remember when Judah was fighting Tomatoes? It looked even better.
