How is it that people can complain that boxing is going in the tank when they allow their favorite boxers to cherry pick fights? Most fans (me included) have at some point or another said about one of their favorite boxers "he doesnt need to fight that guy" or " hes already proved himself and THAT guy hasnt"..my point is that this excuse has been used by boxers for not fighting a guy who's younger in most cases, hungrier in most cases, and usually hard to beat in most cases (i.e akward style, defensive style). Ive seen this happen a million times but for some reason fans, journalists never seem to say anything about it. You fight those who are there to fight, money should not be an issue..styles make fights and just because the last guy you beat, beat the guy now calling you out doesnt mean he cant beat you. Boxing is trying to make stars instead of just allowing one to naturally develop. They need to just stop protecting these boys and see who makes it out the fray.
