Anything with Hopkins, the guy has amazing footwork, positioning, balance.

    Froch vs. Abraham

Wlad Klitschko has great footwork in that he's never off balance, he's always in position to throw a second punch, which is what its all about. Balance.

Mike Tyson had great footwork also.

Wlad also does this thing I really like, not so much footwork but applicable I think to this conversation. He'll jab, take a small, small step back with his front foot - keep the back foot planted, lean his upper body back (usually a bad thing unless you're much taller then your opponent), make the other fighter miss with their counter because of the suddenly increased distance and then take a small step forward with his front foot (while his back foot is still planted) and ram home another jab. Pretty subtle, and if you're not looking for it it might seem like a nothing sequence of just two jabs.

I agree that part of how he's able to do this is his balance and his sense of distance. I think another part is sort of knowing the rhythm of the fight game.

broner and gary russell are two young guns that exhibit excellent footwork and positioning.

some of my favorites throughout the years for different reasons....

    sugar ray robinson....finesse

joe louis...wasn't the fastest...but very sound and methodical

willie pep....very active...used what he had.

floyd patterson....his style predated mike tysons and was great for aggression

mike tyson....cat like in his prime...very hard to stay away from.

ali...float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!

    salvador sanchez...angles...

    roberto duran...mixed it up well.

ray leonard....very fast on his feet.

hector camacho....similar to ray...very good at getting position

    orlando canizales...pretty foot work.

ricardo lopez...very precise. wasted very little movement.

all of these guys brought something different, but all were good at maintaining position/angle and distance. some were better than others...but all are definitely worth studying if u want to learn.

    :rofl:rofl

Pacquiao has horrible footwork. I don't believe how sloppy this guy gets.

Note-What he pulled off with Hatton was not all that bad though.
