Very sad I always cry when I think of my country man Kid Akeem Anifowoshe. He should have won world titles at 4 weights. He was that good and talented. In an ideal world he would have. Anywhere other than San Antonio the fight against Quiroga would have been stopped after 6 rounds as Akeem had cut up both eyes.

Akeem got depressed when he was told he couldn't box or earn money in the United States, after being homeless for a time he went back to Nigeria and boxed in an unsanctioned bout, he got hurt and had a botched blood transfusion where he passed away.. Billy Baxter the World Series of poker multi champion was his manager but never took financial care of him.. he had to resort to selling drugs in Las Vegas to survive.

Anifowoshe-Quiroga was a terrific fight. Quiroga got the benefit of the doubt in his hometown, I thought Kid Akeem won.

Some of the fans were disgusting, taunting Akeem as he collapsed after the fight and chanting "DOA". I believe that PPV was $10, making it probably the best main event PPV bang for your buck.

The aftermath of the two is sad. Quiroga got killed by a member of a Motorcycle gang in an argument over a Scarface poster. A ****ing poster.
