His weight ain't good, but hes been that heavy before and i imagined him up near 280 coming off a long layoff/retirment after an embarassing performance and fighting this tomato can is all i'm saying. and rahman has looked sloppy boxing wise for about 5 years or so

 

He chin is now shatered someone wild trowing bombs at him would easy ko him in a round a la Golota or Maskeav two examples of shattered jaws.

 

Why the hell are so many of these old guys still around. What happened to retiring?

Rahman has enormous power but is so slow that he hardly ever lands flush, even against guys like this.

He is exceptionally slow.

Rahman did what he had to do with a guy like this. KTFO out of him.

Rahman will be fighting in June against Shannon Miller. June 19. He's stayingery active.

 

Ignorant statement there. I can think of 100 fighters who are a disgrace to the sport before Rahman. Rahman always comes to fight and is more exciting than most heavyweights right now. I'd rather see him all day over guys like Valuev, Wlad, Chagaev, etc.

I will reserve judgment until next month when he fights Miller. Maybe he will look a little better.

 

This is inexcusable for a professional but frankly coming from Rahman I'm NOT surprised.

Whats sad is that Rahman has a good "power jab" (similar to Sonny Liston) and a good right hand. His enemy has been his conditioning (or lack there of) and commitment.

To the previous post that is waiting to pass judgment, I understand but Rock is a lost cause. He's gone through 5+ trainers, see-saw weight and is completely inconsistent performance wise. We've in fact NEVER seen any thing resembling consistency in his career.

He had a nice stretch after his Ruiz lost (the worse viewing experience in history) where he had a bum of the month type of run but he ruined that with "HOW" he lost to Maskaev AGAIN!!! That fight he was winning early but ran out of gas and almost got knocked out the ring AGAIN.

Fool me once but not twice.

 

Also, I'm all for going back to your roots but this where they're fighting is ridiculous. What is this, the BINGO Hall or V F W hall converted??

Was he paid in beer? Judging from his appearance that doesn't seem like that much of a stretch.
