Im 15 and im heading out to the gym sometime before maywith my brother who boxed when he was younger so he helps me with some drills. (My bro is 24, he boxed from 15-22, than he didnt have much time to do it anymore cause of work) So he doesnt know as much as he could but i at least know basic footwork, combinations, and stance. But iwanna know any good footwork or defense drills i can do at home. Right now my workout totals up to a little over an hour and 15-20 minutes id guess. I shadow box 5 3 minutes rounds, jumprope 5 3 minute rounds (1st round normal jumproping, second and thrid different angles, than 4th and 5th i skip), after that i usually do 200 jumping jacks, than 3 sets of 30 situps with a 15 lb medicine ball, than 5 3 minutes rounds on the heavy bag, starting with basic combos and moving to more advanced with each rounds, than at the end i do 50 on the roman chair, 50 crunches, 50 side situps(each side),2 miles of roadwork 3 times a week usually, than i do weight trainign which usually is side laterals, bench pressing, push ups, and curls. Trying to get in the best condition i can before that time, i know you all think waiting till may is probably too long, but i want to be in the best condition i possibly can before i show....that and my bro wont have much time to take me till than. 2nd tiem i posted, cause i put it in classic the first time on accident :-O
People find it hard enough to conquer footwork when there is someone showing them one or one. Over the internet, explaining it would be in vain.
Yeah, im actually pretty light on my feet, and i have basic footwork, i just need to know drills, only one i do now besides shadowboxing and what not, is put a rope on the floor and hop back and forth from each end (yeah your right it is hard to explain somthing over the internet)
