Hes got one heck of an impressive resume. Hasn't won them all, but hes fought top fighters pretty much consistently for a decade. Spence Thurman Porter Khan Matthyse Peterson Judah Malignaggi Rios Guerrero An well past it but still serviceable Morales. For a guy who was never really seen as a P4P level guy, thats pretty darn impressive list.

Basically became the man at 140 thanks to Timmy ducking Khan & picking up the pieces. Not bad champion material. Never been fully blown out because he has an iron chin and retar strength. Old man Morales mocked him for his swinging nonsense because he's frustrating to fight, He throws with his opponent. He's not a fully refined counter puncher. But he's dangerous and will tag you if you overcommit for a second. He's actually quite a nice lad, shame about the haircut. Spence is going to jab him up and down the joint.
Blind in 1 eye and getting smacked in the nuts and he made the distance. Respect. I rate Matthysse more than Garcia. Got shafted against Judah & Alexander. Khan & Garcia recycled Judah who should have lost.
I've not watched that fight since it happened... Mathysse was one of my faves back in the day n I didn't think hed lose.. I thought he'd twat garcia to be honest Thanks for clarifying.. Thought I was misremembering
Garcia was still fairly unknown, nobody knew that his chin was iron & he was tough as hell. Matthysse shallacked him and he stood up to it. I expected Lucas to win also. Was a great even fight till he lost his eye.
Matthysse and Khan were great wins back then. . He wasn't given a snowballs chance in hell of beating Khan at the time. I remember watching that fight live , it was amazing!!
-The only mis-step is Khan believing he was going to mop the floor with him. That was a huge upset and shocked many people member
Garcia went cherry picking for a while once he got beaten by Herrera, and that's when the "cheerypick " name came in.
