For a PPV costing $100. The undercard should be damn good.

    Yeah, a TV licence.

It's per household and it's used to fund the BBC. Which allows them to produce TV and news which isn't beholden to advertisers - it's why the BBC is the best broadcaster in the world (most of the time).

As for overall taxes, think it obviously depends where you live in the US, but take-home pay is pretty much the same for a $50,000/year job in both countries.

We just pay much more for alcohol, tobacco, fuel and we pay a lot more in sales tax (which we call VAT - 20%, to be precise).

As for the fight - it's a PPV fight, so we have to pay for it. Most non-UK fights we get on Boxnation which is a subscription service, but this is the biggest fight of my lifetime - easily.

And yes it will be on late, but so is every single major non-UK boxing event we get to see. It's not something new.

That's further proof, something many idiots argued otherwise with, that the main event(basically the poster) is what the majority(casuals) of buyers go for when ordering an event. Only hardcore fans(the minority) pay close attention to the undercard and do recognize serious challenges in there when they see them. Casuals just stroll through undercards and even when they see recognizable names there they quickly assume they're **** fights because they're not in the main event or headlining an event by themselves.

This is why this event's undercard will be primitive at best with all the sales and promotions fully focused on the main event. This main event is so massive that whatever they have on the undercard will quickly be ignored/overlooked and will be a complete waste to have there for the promoters/managers when they could easily headline other nights by themselves.

I didn't buy a ppv for 5 years from either fighter. I saved plenty. I will pay about 10-15 bucks at a fight party for this one.

pretty sure Loma is gonna be on the card.. so floyd and loma 2 legit top 5 p4pers,
i'll take it.. i'd easily pay 1/2/k or more, much more for this once in a lifetime fight.

no chance in hell we or even or kids, there kids will see a floyd and a pac in boxing together. i know without question there will not be another floyd, most likely ever

Floyd is overrated. There have been 10+ fighters better than him and will be more in the future. His 0 is like a big mirage and something people look at in amazement, when in reality it is because he has cherry picked fights his entire career and won a at least 1 decision he should have lost.:good

This topic has been discussed for quite some time and the U/C is set. One bout is for Top Rank, the other for May Promotions. Lomachenko and one of the aforementioned Mayweather Promotions guys is already set.

There may be additional bouts on some other outlet, but the Main Event will be three fights.

This production is about maximizing every last dime for Mayweather and Pacquiao. They won't pay to put together good undercard fights.

Enjoy your monarchy. You guys are still reeling over getting your a** kicked by a barely trained militia in the American Revolution and again back in 1812. :tong

I'd probably enjoy England if I was weak and needed the government to take care of me.

They are going to suck. They aren't going to be able to afford to pay out very good purses for undercards with the money mayweather and pac are getting.

They waited 5 yrs to make this fight facing guys they had no business facing while charging people to watch their PPV's. U really think they will make it a better Ppv with a stacked under card ?The writing is on the wall they could give two ****s about the real fans ! From the ticket prices to the PPV fee ..

**** them Im streaming this **** :good
