If other fighters knew what Floyd looked for or how he goes about his business, they would use that against him in the ring. Floyd, if he wants to be professional, could probably be a great analyst or trainer.
I was thinking the same thing. Floyd is such a great technical fighter. He is soo sharp and doesnt waste any punches. but what puzzles me is when you see him training on 24/7 he is doing things technically wrong. (ie he pitty patters the mitt work or doesnt extend his punches.) however he doesnt fight like he trains. always wondered if that mitt work was just for the cameras! if not what the hell does he get out of that.
Yeah, I know that atheletes don't like to give out too many things, but for example on the post fight interview he was ask how did Cotto give him trouble? Floyd said something like Cotto is a great warrior, champion and was very tough, etc. I think the same reporter ask the same question again and he said Cotto hit him to the body. I just think that was a weak answer.
can't we all just praise gayweather and talk about him?i know a guy who's just like him,he works for me in my cotton field,i named him Uncle Tom
I think if you asked him when he was retired he would give you a detailed explanation of what went down, but while he is still active, why give something other fighters can use? Just doesn't seem very Floyd like to me. Guy has never mentioned a weakness or admitted something bothers him.
