If i remember correctly up to the fight, yet again i might add ( like lacy and kessler) i thought i could remember seeing people writing on how Hopkins will show him up, whoop his ass etc, even though he is 43!! now we are getting such stuff as well he is 43, and at least he kind of hung with joe. Did you guys somehow not see that Hopkins was on the slide!? Did you not see him repeatably go down coz he couldnt hack the pace of Joe. For all the big talk that B-pops put forward before the fight, he looked like a sad, worthless peice of ****, and i used to respect and like the bloke for his boxing talents, i just cant believe after bigging him up like that, you guys cant even do the decent thing and give Joe his props, instead getting pure **** suckers going " he got knocked down, that means he's a euro bum" jog on. If anything it just shows how much of a champion Joe is, being knocked down, then rallieing back to control the fight........ awesome....... but no, americano and popkins fans only see the fact that he beat up a 43 year old, like i knew would happen really, it was always lose lose for calzaghe, having to deal with popkins mindless and even immature fans afterwards. Joe didnt win the fight, and I'm a Brit and thought he would win before the fight. Hopkins was 43 and STILL WON. Joe doesn't egt any props, he landed no effective punches in the fight and got countered time and again as he missed and missed

I'm a Hopkins fan and I thought it was going to be a close fight and it was, could have gone either way. Most of the people upping Hopkins to dismantle Joe were Calzaghe/Euro-haters and not Hopkins fans. If you were a Hopkins fan there was no way you could see a domination from Hopkins. I doubt many of them even put their money where their mouth is. But what I did see is some of the more educated posters on ESB before the fight claiming that Calzaghe would dominate this fight and stop Hopkins.
