All big fights have exceptions. Whether it be a glove choice, ring size who goes first, last, catch weights penalties for weight, etc. This is just something new that will be added as will more and more things as the sport, medicine and technology progresses.

Just as new rules are added to other sports and new laws to our country as things change, boxing should not be an exception.

    No, it really isn't.

It is designed to look convincing. But it just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. What is said is not as important as what is unsaid.

Only if it were agreed by both parties. This particular case undermines the integrity of the current testing regime and it shouldn't be up to Mayweather to dictate this. It should either be mandatory for all, none or done voluntarily. Just like the justice system you can't have different people on different systems.

“Our suggestion is to utilize any of the independent agencies that work with the National Football League, the National Basketball Association or Major League Baseball, since they administer drug testing for their professional athletes.”

If you’re using steroids, it’s going to come up for sure in urine. There’s no way it’s going to get through the liver and the kidney without being detected.”

“If Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions are sincere in creating ‘a level playing field,’ as they stated in their release, our recommendations should put their minds at ease,” said Arum. “If not, one has to wonder if their motives are more about leveling the fight.”

you're sick of repeating yourself because your thinking process is ****ed..

The reason Floyd wanted USADA to perform the testing, is because the boxing commission has clearly dropped the ball on performance enhancers. The boxing commission is clearly using outdated methods that boxer, trainer and conditioning coaches have been able to get around and it needs to change.. what part of that don't you ****ing understand.

Well I beg to differ. Manny made Cotto come in at 145 for his welterweight title by changeing the rules and putting a 145 cap on a 147 weight division. That kind of undermines the title and sanctioning bodies way more than a simple random blood test wouldnt you agree?

Shut this thread down. It's already been proven wrong.

I don't see why he can't just take the damn test. Sure the demand might have come from left field but both fighters are doing it, Arum claims Manny would do it up until a certain point so there goes the "blood superstition". Seems like Arum is the one trying to dictate the days when a RANDOM test would be allowed. Maybe Mayweather did this for mind games or to dodge or maybe not but if pac-man's camp has nothing to hide then why not just do it and get the fight back on?

Why do you run from threads where you are wrong?

The USADA exec is full of **** because instead of admitting that they have not adopted the new tests methods they just say it's undetectable.

Btw einstein, you're the guy that said HGH is uber steroid that makes you super man right?

Manny agreed to be subjected to this blood test only not later than 30 days before the fight and anytime after the fight for psychological reason which I think is fair enough. What I don't understand is why are the Mayweathers could not accept this. Blood test results for drug usage will be the same before or after the fight. So what's the big deal about accepting Pacquiao and Arum's proposed deal ?

There is only 1 thing that I can see to be eminently coming out to be POSITIVE on this blood testing issue, i.e. Floyd Mayweather Jr is now confirmed to be positive in avoiding elite fighters in his division. He can no longer fool the boxing world that he have not avoided fighters like Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Williams and now a smaller guy like Pacquiao ??? Floyd jr should be tagged as Fraud Jr.

So if baseball players had a testing phobia would it be okay not to test them just because they are scared? NO because it's not fair to the rest of the players. What's wrong with random testing? Just because pac-man is afraid of it and thinks a blood test is why he lost to morales? Get outta here. Both fighters are taking the tests it's only 5-10ml right? Why would Arum ask for that specific time and why is everyone in pac-mans camp making statements EXCEPT pac-man himself. The more Alex Ariza and Arum talk the worse it gets

Too ****ing right. Taking these blood tests can only be good for the sport. It takes away any niggling doubts and proves the two clear best boxers in the world have got to where they are in the game today through hard work and talent, no bull****. Would show our sport in a good light in one of the biggest fights of all time. Boxing needs more positive publicity, and this is a perfect opportunity.

Actually the best testing methodology is hair follicle testing. However with that aside, URINE can detect basically everything as well EPO, HGH, etc etc.
