If Wlad was shot, then it's an indictment against Joshua who struggled against an old shot fighter.

In any scenario, Fury's stock rises.

News flash- your not as good of a boxer when your in your late 30s or early 40s- its as simple as that.
The ability to take punishment diminishes, your reflexs slow down as you AGE.
Its a testament to WLAD how he gave Johua a good test.

The rematch would have been no different. Klitschko became too slow to land his punches. Wilder is a much faster puncher and barely connected...

Vlad was past his best, but certainly not even cose to being shot. It was a 90% version of prime Vlad.

What we saw last night was a prime Wilder vs a 75% Fury, and Fury won the fight 116-110.

Fury vs Joshua should be next, for the real HW chmpionship.

Wlad was 3 month to 40 and looked like crap even before Fury fight. No way he was 90 percent, 90 percent is pretty much being prime. If Fury had some problems with Wilder, Prime Wlad would beat him or at least he would make it close.

You can definitely make a case for Vlad being at 80% or even 70% in the Fury fight, but I was mainly responding to the people here saying Vlad was "shot to pieces", which to me sounds like they just want to hate on Fury and make it look like he didn't accomplish anything.

Stop crying! People critisize boxers all the time! They did it to Wilder. Remember all the talking when Fury was out? How, if Fury was still boxing Wilder would duck. Mayweather, G, Ward, Wilder and Fury all will never be able to do enough to get respect of some fans. All you can do is hit the haters with the facts.

Wlad was use to smaller fighters and if they were taller they were not as skilled as Fury and Wlad after two years of inactivity almost KO’d Joshua.. Same as Wilder you can tell he wasn’t used to being the shorter fighter and not having a reach advantage.. anybody that uses the Wlad is shot narrative just killed AJs biggest victory by far..

He struggled because the ref wouldn't allow him lay on Jennings back. He had to fight fairly in NYC and thats why he looked off-kilter.

H2H at their best Fury is better than Wlad

Where Fury won't match Wlad is for longevity, remaining motivated and looking good vs average competition

This fight has nothing to do with the Wlad fight. Doesn't change anything. Wlad in my opinion was clearly having an off night, and Fury landed far less on Wlad in terms of clean punches, than he landed on Wilder. I hope that Wlad comes back out of retirement for a rematch against either Joshua, or Fury. Wilder can go back to fighting his bums.
