so cotto and pac never want to fight anyone...cuz they have always been like that in the post fight interviews....some guys just don't call people out...why does everyone assume they are scared??? PW won the fight and i am SURE he is not afraid to have a rematch...but u just don't do that...he is trying to make a career like in any workforce...he knows more money is to be mad by fighting pavlik so why say he will fight martinez then be called out as a liar

The only thing martinez can improve on is his conditioning. Other than that, he fought as well as he could have. Remember... Paul was preparing for a fighter with as much a different style from Kelly as you can find. he was just as unprepared to fight Martinez as Martinez was to fight him. I think Paul corrects at least one of his glaring errors in the first fight and wins it easily.

As far as his wilingness for a rematch... You will see very shortly. Trust me. They will rematch, and Paul will be ready, whether its ideal for Goosen or not.

YEa the humble guys dont do that. However Williams always runs his mouth calling people out after a victory. He is not the humble type.
u dnot rememeber COtto!!! Cotto! Whats up Cotto? After taking 13 rounds to defeat Quintana.

so dont compare PW to Cotto or Pac. PW acted way out of character after getting pummeled. Had he won convincingly you know he would have been calling out Pac or Mayweather. If u cant admit that then ur an idiot.

Only Cotto-nuthuggers really think a rubbermatch was needed. Everyone seems to forget how no one was remotely interested in this bull****.

Like I said... Williams is not the least bit scared of a rematch. You will learn soon enough.

What is PW going to fix though?? Thats the thing he fought his usual self and put alot of pressure its just that his defense has always had holes and MArtinez has the speed and power to make him pay.
I dont see PW fixing that if he hasnt already in his career. We saw a PW that was in top shape for this fight but he has holes in his game that i have been saying people can exploit. Martinez did just that.

If Martinez improves that conditioning he stops him IMO. Apparently PW can not really hurt MArtinez with his power he can try to wear him out with pressure but like i said a better conditioned MArtinez can only do more damage. While PW can really only hope to have Martinez wind down at the end.

Or am i missing something here that PW didnt do right in the fight that can be fixed in the next?? dont say his D because we know that aint happening.

paul has a few holes in his defense. Dropping the left hand, and lowering his head are the two major ones.

If he can at least keep his left hand up so that he doesn;t get caught flush in the early rounds, and use his jab a little more, I dont think there is much Martinez can do to keep him from cruising to a clear UD.

Of course, that is easier said than done, and it remains to be seen. I ain't gonna argue with you over whether he will do it or not, but I think if he does, he should win easily.

And if you don't think he hurt martinez in this fight, then you weren;t paying attention. Paul hurt Martinez and e had to hold him to stay ot of trouble. So it can be done. He just needs to follow through when he does hurt him.

Just watch the fighters faces when the decision was announced. Williams thought he lost, Martinez was sure he won. Williams couldn't even celebrate, so much he was disagreeing with the "judges". "... by way of american decision ... Paul Williaaaaams ...."

I don't know how much this had to do with the location, I think it was just that one AWFUL judge. I mean, in Diaz-Paulie it was pretty obviously a hometown decision but Paul's from Aiken, South Carolina, not Jersey.

so those who had Martinez winning a tight fight are stupid, but then you say it could of gone either way. :blood

Anyways, I have respect for both fighters. Yes, I had Martinez winning, but didn't lose no respect for Paul. Both gave one hell of a performance! There really needs to be a rematch, hopefully with competent judging this time. It would be fair if they could make it happen in Argentina but that's far fetched, so Vegas would be nice.

I dont think that matters at all in a sport where ko's happen on a regualr basis. Its not like the guy has no chin. If this was Amir Khan before he got ko'd I can see how this comment is relevant.

But Williams gets hit flush all the time and he isnt ko'd so.

Good post. You only getting this argument because they know youre a fan of Williams. Williams can do alot of things better in a rematch.

Martinez got all his work off of counters. Without that he gets beaten even more clearly. Martinez isnt really making his own offense.
