    Or maybe actual BRITISH BOXING fans, who aren't haters, might like to see a Brit in a fight with the best boxer in the world again. And Witter isn't going to achieve that is he?

    Hatton-Mayweather II is the biggest fight for any British fighter right now. So I'd like to see it.

    Why? Just because Witter lost doesn't suddenly make the fact Hatton & Witter never fought acceptable.

    FFS grow up Dan, do you know how childish that sounds? It would have been easy for me to come on here and gloat at Witter losing. I havn't done that, but you've obviously had a sense of humour meltdown on this issue. You want me to put some more ;););) on the end of my posts to show you I'm only pulling your leg??

    I shouldn't have to explain myself to you but I'm a fight fan and have been for over 25 years (even pre Hatton!!), I have well over 1000 fights on DVD/ VHS and a spare bedroom full of boxing books. I'm no fanboy.

    No more childish than the sniping & skewed logic people are using with regards this issue. No I have no sense of humour on this matter because I don't find it funny at all. It's a sad indictment on our sport & society in general in this country that we tolerate this ****. It will be the same with Khan in a few years. You enjoy your popularity contest, I'll stick to the boxing.

    Hatton not fighting Witter is a sad indictment on our society on general??:lol:

    I don't think I need an agenda of my own to assume Witter-Mayweather is unlikely to happen.

    Whats "gone against me"? Witter losing doesn't affect my day to day life all that much.

    What is a sad indictment is the way we are sold **** in this country & people swallow it. I put "The Homecoming" on a par with the return of the Gladiators. A nice friendly package that we can all buy & be happy.

    So why are you getting your knickers in a twist about it?:huh

    Witters the first Brit boxer in a loooong time that I've been happy to see lose. I don't think many people on ESB genuiely rated him, he was only ever a stick to beat Hatton with for a lot of people around here. Now they have no stick......

    Should have been brought up on Prime Minister's Question Time long ago. If Gordon Brown had promised to make this fight happen he wouldn't be in the **** now.

    I don't hate Witter Joe, it just annoyed me the way he was being used by certain posters to get at Hatton. Witters a Brit, I'm a bit pissed off with myself for being happy he lost...:?
