You're still persisting with this aren't you? You really do believe Witter's loss the other night justifies the fight never happening. You are a Hatton shill of the highest order. Wasteman.

It does make you think though. I mean, you're thinking about it too...

ahh well, in years to come when people ask about hatton's legacy at least you can quickly skim over that and brag about how big his bank balance was. :good

I might join you in that Dan. This guy is the biggest idiot on ESB and thats saying something.

The principle still remains and it's something this clown can't get: there were no politics getting in the way, no excessive pay day demands from Witter no. Just Hatton refusing point blank to fight Witter for the best part of a decade whilst taking mediocre fights, making excuse after excuse for doing it.

First it was something like Witter wasn't exciting enough...so then he has a few entertaining bouts like against Ndou so Hatton changes tack and says he needs a World title then they'll talk...so Witter wins a World Title. Then after that it's I don't want to give him a pay day because he whispered in my ear 'one day' :rofl

I give Hatton credit for his big fights but for the love of god this was a blatant ducking. The way Hatton sack swingers have been acting since his defeat for the most part is also rather illuminating: relief, as if Hatton had beaten the hitter himself. FFS thats like Calzaghe fans rooting for Kessler to lose just so JC didn't need to face his established number 1 contender!

Some of the more reasonable guys like Gaz and Jeff realise this could actually be detrimental to Hatton and his legacy. Just who is there at 140 to beat that would substantially add to his resume? And we all know what will happen if he goes up to 147...

And you're still moaning about the fight not happening :|

I was merely pointing out the realities of the sport. Don't shoot the messenger....I don't think fighting Witter instead of Mayweather would do much for Hattons legacy OR bank balance.

Dunno why Im even bothering to reply but I explicitly said the principle is still disturbing - I could give two ****s about the fight happening now in the context of Saturday night.

Great post as usual. I think more of us should follow Scurla in adding these shills on our block lists. We might actually get some decent conversation going again.

It doesn't work Dan, threads become disjointed and you can still read a lot of blocked posts because other people quote them. Just put up with it, unless its an extreme case blocking posters is just the net equilivent of putting your fingers in your ears and going "NA NA NA NA..." when somebody says something you don't want to hear.

As for Scura having an ignore list, "...pot...kettle...black...." springs to mind.

I had no idea what happens when you block a poster but, from what you've said, I assume their posts are then blanked out.

To be honest I think some posters must just say I'm putting so & so on ignore or blocked for effect and don't actually do it because they continue arguing with them in thread after thread!

That IS quite funny when it happens, when you put someone on 'ignore' you can't see their posts. Yet people still manage to keep arguing with each other afterwards...

Would take something pretty drastic for me to consider blocking anyone. Its just a forum at the end of the day.

Think some must like the endless verbal sparring on here more than they let on - which is why they keep going back for more even when they say they've put them on 'ignore'!
