I don't think they have. These guys clearly don't know what the **** they're talking about. A blind man can see Jones was amazing and that there's a night and day difference between the first and second video. Roy is clearly shot has been for years and these two videos perfectly illustrate it.:deal

To be fair, I'd say Roy is faded, not totally shot. But he just came off 3 victories, where he looked fine, but Joe, though also past HIS prime beat him...had they been both at best,,,I'd toss a coin ( With me doing that, the coin would likely land on it's side )

these idiots dont watch boxing lol good comment.. because the idiot that said there was a 3 year age difference.. if he watched boxing he would know that a fighter can be shot at any age... there are mexican greats that were shot before they even hit 30.. calzaghe is 36 but he is still peaking... while roy jones was shot for years... and if that idiot wants to talk age... hopkins was 43 and calzghe 36 yet the fight was so close it went to split decisioin what do u think would have happened if hopkins was 36.. go back to watching soccer....

lol calzaghe is not past his prime lol... he is still peaking he hasnt loss any handspeed or stamina... just look at his old fights... the only difference is his hands... but then again knocking out a bunch of bums at an early age doesn't account for power to me anyway... either way if calzaghe had fought a prime roy he would have been beat to a pulp .. plain an simple... i figured this out by watching all the clean shots a 43 year old hopkins with mediocre hand speed hit calzaghe with...

lol u just showed urself to be an idiot cuz if ur saying jones resume sucks and he has a prime hopkins, james tony, fought a heavyweight, what does it say about calzaghe's resume... whose best fights were an old hopkins and an unproven kessler and a one dimensional slugger in lacy.. who hasnt done anything since or beaten anyone that wasnt a bum.... hmmm...... think that one over stupid

The forum should have an automated quality control banning system for anyone who types in the words Jones isn't shot. :D

Those flurries used to be more than arm punches, they used to have weight behind them, even as recently as the Lacy fight where he did infact break one of his hands during the fight.. now, they're just arm punches unless he works to the body.

And Jones isn't shot. He's just 80% of what he used to be. He's still good enough that he'd beat Erdei/Diaconu in my view, with how easily he handled Hanshaw, Ajamu and Tito.

Hanshaw and Ajamu are nobodies, while Tito was a much smaller, shot fighter himself. Those wins prove nothing, except that he was up against fighters who didn't have the ability to take advantage of his clear limitations at this point.

80% is laughably generous. It's preposterous in fact. The Jones that faced Tarver in their first fight was 80% of what a peak Jones was. The only similarities between today's Jones and a peak Jones are handspeed in spurts, and even then a prime Jones was well faster. One of his best assets, his footspeed, is completely gone these days, taking away his ring generalship and ability to maintain distance, which were the main reasons he was such a phenomenal out-boxer and so difficult to deal with. Add to that his far slower reflexes and complete lack of stamina and any maintainable workrate. With his diminished speed comes diminished power as well. There's quite simply no comparison between a prime Jones and this old, shot, shell that's around today. That much has been evident for years now, and people are still trying to argue against it?
