Somebody put big money on the under or a Tyson KO1. Kinda like the McNeely fight.

And a lot of tall guys obviously have trouble with shorter guys, because a lot of tall guys lost to Mike Tyson.

Well no, there is a minimum height under which HWs will not be dominant, & that is ~ 5' 9". Same Langford was the only exception, but he had long arms & fought in a shorter era.

It is possible that one day there will be a 5"7 heavyweight that becomes a champion. It is just increasingly unlikely the smaller you get, and as Entaowed says in the entire history of the sport it hasn't happened.

This hypothetical heavyweight would have to have long arms for his weight, be a speed demon and monstrously strong. He would also be better if he was five inches taller, but it could happen.

Tommy Burns was pretty dominant 11 successful defences over 2 years, he was 5'7".

Of course had he met Johnson in his first defence things would have been different.

Tyson was always gonna struggle with a tall guy who stood up straight didnt lean into him and backed him up....being tall is one thing..having the right mindset is another...

It's not the size so much but the right combination of qualities. Holyfield was smaller than most of Tyson's opponents but gave Tyson fits. Even little Buster Mathis did, for a little while anyway.

i think being monstrously strong helps any heavy weight i.e. 6'5" tyrell biggs. long arms? i do not know, tyson and marciano 5'10" and under, actually had short arms, even for their heights.and only tyson was fast, burns(i think),bonavena, marciano, cooper, norris, not as fast(but successful, norris fought from the outside with little power! i think to be 5'7" and not be a fat ******* is the key.i think qawi had a chance,he fought foreman at 222lb but if he trimmed the fat and came in at 200lb and was a bit younger he would have beaten a lot of heavies.just my opinion.

i disagree,i think tyson)in his prime) had little trouble slipping the jab and getting inside, plus great torso movement.he had more trouble with holders and guys who did not want to fight.like holmes and smith.
