Id like to think that if i had two Olympic gold medals under my belt and was a world champ, that i would not quit so easily. Not talking about winning the fight, but actually fighting the fight. But that's just me.
I never talked trash about Rigo’s skills and boxing ability. The guy is a two time Gold Medalists and a world champion. He’s one of the best boxers out there. He’s just not on the same level as Lomachenko. At ANY weight. He quit because he was starting to get cracked more and more and he knew he was going out soon. He should have went out on his back or face. It would have been more respectable.
On a personal level, I feel for Rigo. Even with all his talent, I wouldn't want to have been stuck with his lot or have been given the choices he's been given in life. On a professional level, I feel he let himself and his ailing career down greatly with that early surrender and his seeming lack of will to even endeavour a change in the tide or lay it on the line. Nobody reasonable is going to hold it against you if you fail, but you've got to try to do something with the opportunity. I was never a fan of Yuri Gamboa, but I really admired the account he gave of himself vs. Crawford.
No. Rigondeaux sucks. Don't know why people was giving him a chance in this anyway. He had a decent win against a shot Donaire, fighting 2 weight classes above his best about 7 years ago, and has been on the floor multiple times against bums. Woopie. Any other fight in recent years where a guy jumps up 2 weight classes gets ridiculed and the guys jumping are normally younger and more active than Rigondeaux. It's just these guys who wanna prove how hardcore they are, saying they enjoy watching Rigondeaux run about the ring flicking out the occasional jab. Writing was always on the wall it was a cash out fight for Rigo, him quiting as soon as he was far enough behind he couldn't win on points was written on the wall from the get go. Why anyway would wanna watch a Rigondeaux fight when you can watch porn on the internet, god only knows.
I expected Lomachenko win by KO 8-12, and l was surprised when Rigondeaux signed contract, and it should be noted a contract unprofitable for him, , because he never fought in this weight, he was to meet with a young and strongest boxer, at that moment I thought, wow, Rigo the man with steel eggs. But after the fight, I should note that Rigo really didn't have the desire to fight, and he came to the ring only for money
I'm not an alt you ****ing soppy **** I'm new here, and things are gonna change around here, and I will be leading the charge and will call a spade and a spade- and you my friend are indeed a cum guzzling sewer rat
that's a pretty childish post tbh if you're a public figure, you're always going to be under scrutiny. goes with the territory
I think him quitting is where the criticism is stemming from. If he lost and went out on his shield or even finished the fight and lost every round, Rig would have gotten a lot more respect.
That fight would have went the distance. Loma doesn't punch that hard. By the way that's one of my favorite jabs photos of all time. Vitali turning Peter's face into chocolate pudding, classic.
Lol! That escalated quickly. Now that hes been booted he has a lot of time to figure out another strategy for "changing things around here" lol!
Laffed my a$$ off. Seen worse language here, if I'm being honest, BUT: "Things are gonna change around here and I'll be leading the charge..." BANNED! That was funny as hell
