Agit Kabayel's rep requests that Agit is moved up. Says he'll fight anyone for the title.

The WBO president said maybe he could talk to Frank Sanchez.

Frank Sanchez's guy responded that they'll fight anyone in the WBO ratings.

    Well, that was good.

Not sure I got everything right, but you get the gist of it.

That was strange and interesting to watch. Is moving up the WBO rankings really as easy as just asking to move up the rankings?!

A lot of it has always been relationship building.

You state your case for why you should move up or get in the ratings. They ask who you fought. For young fighters, how many 10 rounders have you had. You can explain your situation. Why you haven't fought.

Some people requested their fighters just remain where they were.

One young German fighter stood up and said it was his first time speaking with WBO committee and he hoped to win WBO titles. And he was honored to meet them. And they asked him about himself and said they were happy to meet him.

You notice how polite people are. I know it's like that behind the scenes with all the orgs.

I've been in situations where I witnessed in person the WBA president was asking the WBO champ at the time (Lamon Brewster) if he would consider fighting his champion (John Ruiz). Everyone was super polite and smiling. All the complaining about sanctioning bodies and ratings tends to be for public consumption.

Behind the scenes, they're all business people making deals. Building relationships. Not trying to burn bridges. Everyone needs everyone else.

When you see it, you realize how stupid it is for young fighters to bash one org or another. And when you get guys like Crawford who win a lot of WBO belts, the orgs tend to be loyal to them, as well.
