I'd say 32, some guys can fight on and be as if they were prime but I think their "physical" prime has ended by that time.

In fact, I'd say purely physically most guys are in their primes early to mid 20s.

Never thought of it that way. 50 years of gradually dying. Now I'm depressed, ha ha.

In my younger days I could go to the gym and still go out that night, or play pick up basketball/volleyball the following day.

I got into cycling in my mid 30s, done a couple of century rides. I have 2 really hard efforts a week and a couple of moderate efforts. When I ramp up much harder than that, I can still feel the previous hard effort in my legs when an incline hits or the pace kicks up.

Like you, I'm just a guy trying to keep in shape a few days a week.

Id say it's about 32 nowadays. With bigger guys peaking late and smaller guys fading early.

That's right. Guys peaking in their forties is all because of the great modern training methods we have like wheat grass and kale and jumping jacks. Nothing to see here.

Hopkins Ped cheat, Luis Ortiz ped cheat, McCallum inconclusive, Wladimir Klitschko tactical cheat brother of ped cheat and suspect himself, Floyd Mayweather ped cheat. Unless you meant Carlos Ortiz who lost the title when he was 32.

If their fights didn't end on average in 2-3 rounds, then I might say sure. Seriously, Frazier's 37 fights only put 212 rounds on his odometer and Mike Tysons 56 only put 215 on his. They got hit less than Pernell Whitaker over a 45 fight 379 round career or Floyd Mayweather over a 50 fight 397 round career.

And that doesn't explain Julio Cesar Chavez Sr fighting 115 fights 634 rounds, Roberto Duran fighting 119 fights for 821 rounds, or Henry Armstrong fighting 182 fights and 1,158 rounds with their all action styles.

I think the prime ends at 51. For instance, Louis Ortiz was much quicker 5 or 6 years ago...
