Well I remember my biology professor saying "Most of life we don't know about, we know a lot less compared to what we what we know".

Aging isn't a simple process. But in a nutshell once you reach a certain age yes you literally begin to start dying. What else do you want to call it? The body is starting to breakdown gradually until it reaches a point where it can no longer exist and function to sustain itself. In other words, the organism dies.

Roberto Duran had like a billion fights by the time he fought Leonard. And in that fight he looked like Jesus on Earth. I completely understand the ring wear and tear fights can have on the body. But biological age is important too.

Duran had a ton of fights before Montreal, but he was still only 29.

But then he was never the same after Montreal after he relaxed his diet and training. I don't care if you've never taken a punch in your life. If you sit on your ass, drink a lot of beer and eat a lot of bad food you won't be in shape. That describes most of America right now.

This, of course, accounts for the swift weightloss of all athletes after age 27.

HWs, especially large hw's, peak later. I'm convinced Vitali didn't hit his peak until he came back at age 37.

You need less athleticism as a larger hw. And chin, experience and power can get better with age. Those three things are critical in using a massive size advatadvamost effectively.

Vitali's power really dropped off when he came back. Everything else was good.

It’s over. It’s just a long death from here forwards. Assuming we don’t get hit by a bus or something.

I used to be the strongest on this forum, now I have to ring a bell to have Herol empty my diaper.

At least he uses dude wipes on me to make me feel more of a man.

Will my declining T levels at least give me a window where I can fornicate for long durations without finishing? I know I'll eventually be impotent, but I'm hoping for some golden years.

Make sure the women you are with are half your age plus seven years. You won't need no boner pills when you get older.

Mayweather and Whitaker aren't heavyweights and they aren't giving up the huge height, reach, and weight advantages that Tyson and Frazier were. Mayweather rarely fought opponents that were 5-6 inches taller, had a 7-10 inch reach advantage, and also outweighed him by 20-30 lbs.

While taller heavyweight fighters like Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, and George Foreman can get away with coming in out of shape and overweight (to a point) an extra 4-5 lbs for Tyson or Frazier means the difference between avoiding a giants punch and getting hit flush with a giants punch.

Tyson and Frazier relied a lot on their speed and reflexes far more than lighter weight fighters, who at least have the luxury of fighting opponents that weigh the same. A lot of the taller and heavier fighters would tie Tyson up and put all their weight on him. As a younger man he was often able find his target and land clean while not getting hit.

Imagine Floyd fighting top fighters at 175 or higher and winning because I can't. I remember Floyd during an interview saying Chad Dawson wasn't that good, but when the interviewer jokingly told Floyd to take his light heavyweight title Floyd said even though Dawson wasn't that good that he had too big a size advantage for it to be a fair fight.

Joe at 28 years old and at 215 lbs still has power, but is slow as molasses. In just five years look how much Frazier's in ring ability deteriorated.

Mike at 21 years old and at 221 pounds is in great shape and has quick headmovent, can cut off the ring, and has excellent timing.

    Mike Tyson vs. Ruddock

Tyson a few days before his 25th birthday weighed in a 216, but didn't look in good shape. Tyson's head movement and timing are already badly slipping in just 4 years. Tyson still has great power, but now takes almost as much punishment as he gives out, which isn't good, since he's spotting Ruddock 20 lbs.
