Desn't this ******ed statement you made imply that Shane is just a blown up lightweight yet Oscar is this huge f'n guy. You said that Oscar is much bigger than Floyd, yet Shane is just a blown up lightweight. Your own words *****. I made the point that DLH started his career at a lighter weight class than Shane, they both fought at 154 and that Oscar had no business at 160. Therfore, anyone with even a fraction of a brain (which obviously excludes you) can surmise that Oscar and Shane are about the same size, with Oscar being the taller of the two....and that if you call Shane a "lightweight blownup" you have to say the same about Oscar. Or are you too stupid to understand that? UMMM...your probably too stupid too understand, but I should have known that based upon the title of your thread.

 

Perhaps, although having guys the level of Kelson Pinto, Muhammad Abdulaev, and Victoriano Sosa get turned into boxing community household names just because they fought Cotto sort of like the Ali effect where basically anyone who fought Ali is now a legend or whatever, or how Cotto beat so and so worse than so and so, or Cotto's murdered this guy and now he's a this and now he's a that type stuff has been alot to listen to over the last few years.

 

So the truth finally reveals its ugly little head.....why dive into personal issues you have with Cotto, his managment, his image and his effect on his fans. Its childish if you ask me, for years I felt the same way about Oscar though I have come to respect the man as a fighter though I totally hate his ora and his somewhat fabricated career.

 

I would hardly call them household names, Pinto and Abdulaev both beat Cotto in the Ams thats why so much was made of them fights! I bet if i were to ask my mates who see themselves as boxing fans if the knew who any of the mentioned fighters were none of them would know any of the three.

Im not putting him in a catergory with Ali but what im saying is the thread starter cant put Holt in a catergory with Cotto coming off one controversial win.

 

LOL, I'm a Cotto fan. But hype of any kind is damaging. It's not good for anyone - especially in boxing. Do you realize what will happen if Margarito wins??? 10 times the hype, probably 100. If or when Cotto loses to Margarito it's going to turn Margarito into Godzilla and Miguel is going to be hurt by all this needless BS that's been said over the years.

I'd expect far more for such a genuinely top quality fighter, with an outstanding resume and skillset. Maybe the Ricans are a classier bunch.
