Floyd Sr. was famous for being Oscar's trainer and he's gotten enough credit for doing nothing, he needs to just go away, because his classless claims about fighters being on dope without evidence is a black eye for the sport.

Floyd Sr gets way too much credit. He's basically living off his son's legacy, yet Floyd left him early in his pro career for Roger, who guided him through all his biggest fights.

Him training Hatton ended up being a debacle, and led to Hatton eating an astonishing 65 Pac power punches in less than 2 rounds of boxing.

When he trained Oscar he made him right-hand happy, which was his weakest punch and at the expense of his money left, and he got hit more than he should have against fighters he should've beaten more easily (Gatti, Vargas, Sturm, Forbes fights).

In the Vargas fight you can hear Foreman saying Oscar should thank Roberto Alcazar and Manny Steward more than anyone for the win, as only when he reverted back to his old style did he begin to take over the fight when the new Mayweather style wasn't getting it done.

In that time he worked with Sr, Oscar worked with Roach for one fight against the P4P #1 and barely got touched. His defence looked better than ever as a rusty 35 year old avoiding and blocking Floyd Mayweather's punches.

The fact Mayweather was credited with landing less on Oscar than Vargas and Sturm speaks for itself. And many of Mayweather's credited punches hit arms and gloves.

Hugely overrated trainer is Floyd Sr, not only tactically, but also defensively which is seen as his specialty..

To be honest Uncle Rog is the reason Floyd is great and has been there for Floyd while sr was a **** up. Uncle rog talks smalk so.etimes, but he doesn't go off insulting races like sr does and floyd got that bs from his dad. I heard that and I was like "Really?" Talking about a fighter and sayin he don't know **** is one thing but talking nonsense about a people and your grandkids are gonna see that **** they gonna be embarrassed to be associated with you. That **** about both floyds talking about filipinos that ain't right.
