I disagree with you about Rigo, he wasn't exactly running around in there, he was within punching distance. I totally agree with you when it comes to Lara though. He'll do whatever it takes to prevent an actual fight from breaking out. The only way I will ever take the time to watch Lara again is if I am told afterwards that he was KO'd.

    Man, shut the hell up.

I don't need to hear that stupid ass bull****.

Boxing is moving, ducking, punching, rotating, blocking, and doin what you do.

It's not running around, pot shottin, making the fans BOOO.

    That' called BOOOORing.

    You understand that?

Lara vs Angulo was ACTION PACKED.

It was a hell of a fight because Lara had to BOX. He couldn't just run.

There was PLENTY of room for him to MOVE around the ring, but no room to RUN.
So he had to fight sometimes.

It made the fight EXCITING and INTERESTING.

And guess what, it ended in a KO.

    That's what you call BOXING.

That's what it should be. Boxing is a spectacle.

It's not two guys in a ring the size of a football field, playing tag.

    That's not boxing. That's, tag you're it.

Nobody wants to see that ****.

You do realize the cage in the UFC is gigantic in comparison and running is a bigger problem in that sport then it is in boxing.

Rigo is truly a great fighter, but if you made the ring smaller, it would not only give his opponent more chances to make a fight, but it would also increase the odds of Rigo knocking his opponent out.

    Small ring = favors Angulo

And then the rehydration limit. Lara was told he couldn't weigh more than 164, only to have Angulo come in at 174 LOL.

Rigo is the truth. he will completely break your spirit and take everything from you. he'll outbox you and back your ass up if need be. hes like a mini Floyd.

Lara on the otherhand, is pretty annoying to watch. great boxer with great footwork and decent power, but i feel like he doesn't use his full potential. he doesn't want to put his full imprint on his opponents and dominate, he's ok with doing "just enough" to win rounds. and thats ok i guess, but don't expect to get those big fights or gain alot of fans fighting like that. i liked his performance against Angulo, but he forced to work. he'd probably have more stoppages if he wasn't so lazy.

I can't agree with everything , but I think lara vs trout and rigo vs agbeko would have been much more competitive and definitely 100 times more entertaining fights to watch in a smaller ring .

I actually thought Lara's fight yesterday was a bit more exciting

The ring didn't favor Angulo, it turned it from a track meet to a boxing match.

    It made it even.

A large ring allows Lara to RUN.

    That kills boxing.

I guess you didn't see Lara v Angulo. That was more action and better quality than Tapia v Kirkland. Trout has bored us in the pas and Lara seems to fight to the level of his opponent.

Rigo needs to be more aggressive or fight with one hand. Agbeko didn't want to engage for most of the fight. He was getting hit whenever he tried anything. Rigo should have gone for the kill.

That's my point. The ring was much smaller in that fight.

Did you see the fight though? Agbeko literally stood in front of Rigo not doing ****, he turtled up like Clottey.

Not sure how anyone could try and excuse Agbeko's performance, and try to lay the blame on Rigo.

That being said, I wouldnt be against having slightly smaller rings, in general.

I had to fast forward through that ****. I watched damn near 4 hours worth of boxing with showtime and saw the Kirkland fight and I was exhausted.

I watched a few rounds, saw that Agbeko would still be standing, and fast forwarded.

My point is, regardless of the opponent, the Lara vs Angulo ring size should be standard, especially at lower weight divisions.

Floyd does not try to KO his opponents. I did not read the entirety of your post, but it seemed you were trying to build your case on Floyd being different from Rigondeaux and Lara. The only difference is that Floyd speaks fluent English and is an American Olympian. In other words, all the major factors to be highly marketable in America. Rigo is Cuban, does not speak English and he seems not to grasp the idea that he needs to have a shtick to hit it with the ratings, like Floyd has had for so long now. Pretty Boy, Money etc.
