Valuev wouldn't land a punch. He complained after the Haye fight that they keep making him fight those small guys, he cant beat them and cant look good against them. Imagine the tantrum he'd have if you made him fight a flyweight ! His manager just aint looking out for him. :rofl
Look, you are an exceptional poster here. You realize I'm trying to make a point by drawing out like kind debates. Let these play out and I'll cut it short. Truly no intention to offend (most of you) ...
Nah reasons already stated, its absolutely unfair given the limitations due to rules. In a street fight small guys can beat the **** out of big guys, but it doesnt translate over to boxing, where you're dealing with athletes who know how to use their size. Its not absolutely beyond debate though. When Jones Jr moved up to fight Ruiz i was wondering before the fight if a 175lbs version would fare better than him bulking up to 200+lbs and possibly losing speed and reflexes
So, does anyone agree with me that Valuev wouldn't land a punch on Wilde ? In fact, Wilde might even being able to run around the back of Valuev, through his legs (is that against the rules?), or pirouette his way into a position to actually touch Valuev once or twice a round, hence outscore him. Then again, some people will think Valuev won "on aggression" and the scoring will be questionable. There's probably no way you'd get Wilde in the ring with Valuev, but if he had to go in there there's no way he'd let Valuev catch him, not for 12, 15, 25 rounds ! A 320 pound 7 foot oaf cannot catch a phenomenally quick 100 pound man. It's physically impossible. He can take away his pocket money or send him to bed with no dinner but he cant catch him in a 20 foot squared ring !
Valuev could crouch down, extend his arms out sideways 90 degrees and wave them up and down whilst moving towards Wilde, then once cornered he could bring one inwards at shoulder height and the other inwards at waist height at the same time, decapitating Wilde.
Well they were big enough to hurt him if he was so wide open like that. Wilde's punches would be like snowflakes landing on his massive face and he could ignore them
