Fight dirty? So the big bad killer that is Kovalev couldn't cope with Wards alleged dirty tactics? He actually made Kov look distinctly uncomfortable with his body shots. It was a very close fight, a case could be made either way, but it was certainly no robbery.
Apparently you as you took the time to respond. And yes not honoring your commitments make you a pos. Also it financially affected goosen loss of income and having to repeatedly defend himself against frivolous lawsuits. Goosen helped make Ward are him up in the super 6 with every advantage. And his thanks was ward being A complete pos to him.
Its clowns like you who **** it up for the true boxing fans. You only care about the unnecessary **** concerning boxing when it comes to guys who could rival the fighter that you like. But if you have a chance to dis Ward being the Kov fan that you are do it right? Foh lmao.
Wards dirty tactics in the ring are well documented and cannot be denied or explained away. Some of the videos highlighting them are narrated by biased assholes but Wards fouling(headbutts, attempted headbutts, holding nd hitting, stiff arming, bending below waist) was blatant, and it was clear Kovalev was just trying to protect himself from Wards head whenever he headlocked him. Then as the fight went on Kovalev became so weary of the fouls that Ward would find openings for example by showing him his battering ram of a head and then hitting the Body. I still havent heard a valid explanation for that Tackle Ward tried either. To me, tackling or attempting to tackle an Opponent should be an immediate Points deduction,no different than if he had tried to judothrow or suplex him. Boxing isnt the WWE.
Ward took the cowards way out, for he knew he could not overcome Kovalev though pure boxing, so resorted to street fighting and greco-Roman wrestling tackles to avoid taking punches like a man. There is a reason why Ward demands all of his fights are in the us, so that the refs will be home based and they will overlook his blatant fouls or pretend they didn't see them.
Cant blame a man for doing whatever he can to win/have the odds in his favor in a sport/career that will most likely only give you 10 good years. And you definitely shouldnt be calling a professional fighter a coward unless you are a pro boxer yourself and have shown more courage yourself. That being said, pretending like Ward doesnt fight very dirty sometimes and/or doesnt have the ugliest most revolting, least fan friendly boxing style we've seen at the top level for a long time, is just silly. Ward fouls ALOT and he frustrates alot of people including myself when he fights because he turns a boxing match into something else, a type of grappling, ugly affair that he specializes in but his opponents couldnt(and shouldnt have to) prepare for. And dont say its inside fighting because Toney Holyfield Duran fought on the inside and that was something completely different from Wards BS I have no problem with "runners", I have no problem with "boring" fights were few punches are thrown because there is still plenty of subtle skill to be observed. But Ward fights are basically shutting one guy down in the ugliest way possible and then landing some Jabs to win the rounds
The cry baby excuse makers are out. Ward didn't fight Kov dirty in the least yet some how are saying that he did. Foh with that. Whether you think Kov won or not nobody fought dirty. Kov trying to do everything to "not" fight on the inside pissed fans off if anything.
I've fought in the ring, albeit not professionally but as sport and we never crawl to our knees to avoid getting hit. That is the act of a cowardly man who should not be in the ring in the first place. It's like those videos of Charlie zelenoff who hits his opponents with everything he has but when he comes across those who fight back he runs out of the ring, or asks for a time out. There is no other word for it besides cowardice.
And this is to be commended? What sort of a boxing fan thinks this is a "brilliant mind game"? Hope Kovalev knocks the ***** cold
Pound for pound? How in God's name could he be after he was outboxed by Kovalev? Regardless of the result in that fight, Ward was outboxed and had to resort to illegal tactics to survive. Ward got the decision, that's in the past. But if he gets outboxed in his own weight class he can't be p4p.
