I don't think you got it. He's not Pretty Boy Floyd no more, he's Floyd Money Mayweather. Hence, the PBF acronym is no longer applicable when talking currently about Mayweather.

 

Cotto doesnt have much a of a personailty so he isnt drawing much.

Cotto takes on Magarito..then who Berto, Mayorga?. He hasnt got as many options. If Cotto keeps winning he will be become a superstar but hasnt quite the following yet I think thats what they will try and wait for unfortunately.

 

i undrstand what you are saying, but those excuses about cotto not being a draw, are pure bull****. floydboys are quick to point out the ppv numbers for dlh and hatton fights and try to wear it as a shield. when the fact is that both of those fighters have extremely large fan bases.

cotto mosley was reported at between 400 - 450k. pbf;s previous high was 375k vs judah. so him saying cotto doesn't bring numbers as to why he will not fight him reeks of bull****, as clearly prior to dlh his high water mark was less than cottto's.

 

I look at the fact that Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Oscar, and Hatton got career high paydays and career high PPV numbers by fighting floyd. they didn't do it alone!! i say PBF/Cotto does 400K-800K if they fight this year, but if cotto gets his fanbase up, i could see it doing a million-plus. that's what floyd is waiting for. he's also at the point where he can sit back and wait for the next fighter to become great so that he can cash in and get a big payday. i think that's respectable for the fact that he is in a position that most fighters dream of: fight when and where you want and get a 8 figure payday when you do!!!:happy

 

Most experts call Cotto a superstar...I would like to see Floyd's draw without a big name superstar opponent...I bet he couldn't draw flies to ****. Just like he couldn't sell out in his home town.:deal
