for real though, why ggg didn't man up and fight ward or lara?

yeah, back when floyd was fighting and beating everybody and all they could focus on was who he DIDN'T fight they would talk that schit dissing floyds ppv numbers....the thing is, it's so transparent...they're scared. they pretend they believe "ggg would do this to lara and ggg would do that to ward"...then you say "well, ggg should fight them then and PROVE IT"... the next thing is "well, ggg said he only wanted BIG fights...and ward and lara aint BIG fights..." yeah, it's all about ppv numbers now...it's like a comedy show in here.

ggg fans telling floyd to take a risk is like marciano fans telling muhammad ali to "throw a jab every once in a while"...floyd came from sfw to jmw...fought the best in 5 weight classes over 20 years. ggg, 34 years old, aint done schit with his so-called pedigree.... scared to fight a guy a weight class below him much less a guy a weight class above him and wants to pick on cotto and floyd...and these idiots support him...clownishness at its finest.

 

i got peoples in woonsocket too.... economy in RI is not great, but it's a cool place to live... i like it going back to visit.

to me, the jury is still out on ggg...i'm just not convinced. to illustrate my point, i think back to the monroe fight...at one point, monroe was winning rounds...landing clean, hard shots on ggg. and ggg was looking winded and ineffective...rjj was like "ggg is more tired than monroe!'...it looked liike the whole complexion of the fight had changed and monroe was taking charge. and monroe aint nothing but a clubfighter! yeah, ggg came back and stopped monroe, but for a while it was kinda iffy.

then i think about the murray fight...how murray was able to land again and again...with ease and even avoid ggg's combos even though murray is no defensive wiz...and murray went to the 11th round and won a few rounds...and to me, murray is basically a harmless dude with no power or real world class talent.

it seems to me, a guy don't have to be a special fighter to beat ggg. i see guys coming up now who have the combination of movement and power and toughness who could take him...add to all that, the fact that most of ggg's big wins have been against poor opposition.

For example, when ggg beat geale i asked the question "how would geale do against the likes of canelo, cotto, etc" all replies from ggg fanboys were like "geale would beat canelo or cotto" because they want to validate ggg's win over geale...so, cotto destroys geale more impressively than ggg did and it's "geale was weight drained"...same with stevens after ggg beat him. They were like "stevens would beat all the other top mw"...then ndam, a mediocre contender, dominates stevens with ease...same with rubio. they were like "rubio would beat canelo, cotto, etc" then anthony peterson, who i consider to be a decent but no great shakes, beats rubio pretty much as bad a ggg did...

ggg hasn't done anythng that any of the other contenders can't do....he's not special in any way. to me, he's a hype job. hbo built him up and built him up...they made him into the biggest name among the up and coming stars...they manipulated the public into looking at the bright, shiny object...but the object has no substance... he flatly refuses to justify any of the hype with his selection of low-grade opponents and ducking of real top-quality guys.
