With his extroardinary quickness, speed and punching power, Hamed is the type to destroy B level fighters, but because of his lack of real boxing skill and know how, gets humiliated and I mean totally humiliated by most A level fighters.

There is a reason Hamed lost his hunger to continue after MAB. He knew he did'nt have the ring skill to come close to competing against the elites.

His fights are everywhere to prove you otherwise.

Besides, when has he faced an elite when he was still at 118 and 122? Peter Buckley?

 

This is almost 100% correct, except Naz was a B Level fighter himself.

When he stepped up to A Level he realized he couldn't roll with the big boys and had to pack it in.

He was in talks to fight Gatti, who I think would have about 70% chance of beating him. Gatti had an iron chin and would have walked through Naz best shots. After that, what would Naz have? Nothing.

Also out lurking out there at the time were A Level guys like Marquez, Morales, MAB 2... ****. He didn't have NEARLY the skill or determination to **** with those guys.

I'd label Hamed as a C level fighter with A+ level physical attributes.

Most fighters at B level or below are there because they cant handle A level athletes. Athletes are fighters like Hamed who's sucess is owed to physical talent rather than boxing skill.

Hamed strenghths only carry him passed B and below level fighters.

 

I dont have to read opinions on an article, I followed Hamed's full title reign, and my intuition was that he'd get beat by the first real skill fighter he'd face. I was right!

 

The Prince Nazeem Hamed was a superstar amongst boxers of his era, his fights were events and his ring entrances are the best to this date by any boxer. On the documentary about him you can see where he sends his brother to Las Vegas days in advance just to make sure his ring entrance arrangements will be up to standards. That says plenty about how much he cared about his fans, Augie Sanchez told me he was too fast in the ring when he fought him and that he had a hard time catching up with him inside that square circle, also add the fact that the guy hit like a mule's kick.

 

Hamed-Kelley was FANTASTIC.

I have that as his GREATEST win therefore an ATG.
